#3 Posted: 10/17/2012 2:18:44 PM I think ARZ wins the game outright, so I'd avoid MIN.
NE should win. I like OAK to win took, simply since the Jags are the worst team in the NFL by far. |

#5 Posted: 10/17/2012 2:26:37 PM As a raiders fan, don't take them lol. You never know what you are going to get with them. Plus the jags are off a bye week. |

#6 Posted: 10/17/2012 2:28:25 PM Oakland = not a bad pick; ne if you wanna play it safe (but I don't like taking the top consensus pick; wouldnt be completely shocked by an upset either) and I'd say maybe either cinncy or tampa if you really feel like laying your stones out on the road. Best of luck meng! Cheers. |

#11 Posted: 10/17/2012 5:52:48 PM my pool started with 207 people and i'm 1 of only 18 people left.
i've been truly lucky as youve been too.
my 4 teams i'm thinking of taking are
pats, riders, bills and minny.
now i dont really like division games and messing with byw week teams so for me the pats and raiders are out,
i'm a little worried about kenny britt and C2J having their way vs Buff so that leaves me with Minny.
Minny lost last week in a game which 80% of the country had them wining.
I like ponder, harvin rudolph and peterson at home vs the cards who will be playing skelton, on the road and have lost 2 in a row.
So i''l be going with the vikings.
Good luck. let me know who you end up going with. |

#16 Posted: 10/17/2012 8:01:13 PM I'm going Oakland. Everyone else (27) will be on the heavy hitters (GB, NE, SF). I'm saving them hoping to get a leg up.
Now, about Oakland. Jacksonville is 2-6 all time playing on the Pacific coast. The favorite in this series is not only 5-0 but 5-0 ATS as well. Oakland's made some adjustments on both sides and you could tell against Atlanta. |

#17 Posted: 10/17/2012 8:50:32 PM dont let the colts game fool you, at the same time, do not let NE's late game collapse fool you. The Jets are much worse than advertised and the Pats are much better than advertised. The Pats will move the chains with EASE....Wes, Gronk and now Hernandes back in his second game....the JEts linebacker core and secondary is ill equiped to handle NE.....NE is the strongest ML play on the board....GL |

#19 Posted: 10/17/2012 9:09:41 PM Mark...the jets have the 30th ranked offense in terms of yardage and even more importantly 4.9 yards per play which is a very very important statistic...(which again ranks them 30th).... defensively they are an average team without Revis...and offensively they are atrocious, the math does not lie.
They had a huge run game against the colts team in a really bad spot (rookie qb inexperienced on the road, missing coach, after a huge emotional come from behind home win)...as for the buffalo game.(means nothing, buffalo is horribly coached with one of the worst defensive game plans in the league, terrible secondary, I think ryan leaf can put up 300 yards on these guys).
Nonetheless GL is that is your opinion, we are all here to discuss and share!

#22 Posted: 10/17/2012 10:46:47 PM I'm in two of these things.
Pool 1. Down to 6/110. I still have Chicago so i'm playing the bears. Trying to hold on to GB and NE. I can see people running out of ammo by week 11, assuming it goes that long.
Pool 2. Down to 17/75. Large $. Definitely going to need to keep some good teams to play down the stretch unless there's a major upset (like Pats this week.) Have decided to make a gamble on this one. Already spent Bears. Taking Oakland. A little worrisome that Jax is off a bye, but the Raiders are a very hungry team. Janikowski saves the day. That's my theory. I think AZ beats Minny, BTW. At least, I'm hoping for it.
ps... With so few people left, you can also consider going conservative and hope everyone else does what I've done and bites the dust.

This means nothing. Underdogs off a bye are basically a coin toss. FAVORITES off a bye, hit at a significant percentage, though. |
