McShady...I looked at the TEX/SEA matchup a little closer and the only fly in the ointmant for me is that TEX starter,Perez, is a 5 and fly guy and those guys really lean heavy on the pen. King...Is Hanson on some type of pitch count? He has been nothing more than a 5 and fly guy and his numbers do not warrant that type of handling by the manager.

McShady, you guys have pretty much covered everything I like. Colorado is 8-1 off 4 or more on road this year and even better 6-0 if they lost the last game on get-away day. (Thanks Herbshack)
I also read that Detroit has lost Porcello's last 7 starts, and Gardenhire's Minny team still plays hard, Deduno can be tough and Twins would love to play the spoiler.
MUCH of what I am seeing is Milw and Baltimore. Wash may suffer letdown after clinching and Milw is smoking hot. Could u see those two in a parlay of the day? I'm trying to not force any plays today and have more discipline. I have managed to hit several 2 teamers lately but have stayed away from any more than one per day.
Semper, you had that Medlen play for $500 the other day, may I ask how much is the play on the Phillies? (Since you don't use the humongous star ratings on your plays ) LOL

The butterflies have been replaced by confidence that stems from the Rangers believing enough in the 21-year-old to put him in their rotation with less than two weeks left in a pennant race. "I just want to prepare my mind for that job," Perez said. "I don't have any pressure because they trust me." He's earned their trust by the way he pitched during his first major league stint in June and July and also by the way he pitched in his past two appearances in long relief. Perez allowed only two runs in four innings Sept. 9 at Tampa Bay and worked 4 1/3 scoreless innings Saturday against Seattle. He has taken some velocity off his fastball, and he hasn't been missing up in the zone. "When I come in the game, I do my job," he said. "When I need to throw hard, I can throw hard. You just need to throw the ball wherever you need it." Perez should have more rest than his teammates tonight at Safeco Field.
