7/1 on the board.  recency, pace, distance.  swinging against a toughie.  this guy is sharp and should fire.  is he good enough??

santa anita

got hit down to 5/2 late.  i played it at 1.5 units so that was cool.  couldn't resist that 5/1 in a small field when she had all the tools and they were chasing mitchell and baffert like that. 

3rd or 4th.  chalk just too tough.  outside slot may have cost running 2nd.  had to hustle up and over and then find a seam in the lane.  0.75 units 

arcadia race 5

6/1 on the board.  late speed, recency, pattern.  2nd off the pine should be rolling late here and there should be some zip up front. 

warning:  swinging against a legit fav here.  he has the figs no doubt and has run very well down the hill.  a little curious why he isn't in graded stakes and i realize no more down the hill until the fall and maybe they want him all turf now.  either way, on paper he looks very tough.  7 no bum should get the chance to fire away late in the lane.

16/1 on the tote.  speed, pace.  can he last?  can hehold on late?  just gonna try and steal this one we'll see how far he can go

9/2.  drops and pops.  should respond moving in with these bums and back on fast strip.

10/1 winner

1 unit play that was nice.  ha, two vulnerable favs i love it finally send those down the tubes.

the 1 off a layoff and had coughed up the lead a few times before.  the 7 was eased last out and had also shown he was vulnerable late.  this 2 had shown some nice life late a few times and once down the hill.  bejarano flying home down the middle of the track

dude - most people wont believe me but i shIIIIIT you not the 8 was my second choice who ran 2nd at 23/1.  fuuuuuck i put some time into that race trying to find someone who could nail them from well off the pace.  just wasn't sure if the 8 would be too far back but hell he was right up there when they crossed the dirt

people always chase the early speed/pace going down the hill.  it's a longer race than it looks.  if the favs have coughed it up before (especially if they coughed it up going shorter) then it is worth it to try and beat them.
