we should raise our debt ceiling again so we can give more money away to countries who hate us

Why not use some of that money in Illinois where those tornados ravaged that area?  

 

Ah fuck it! I pay ten cents on the dollar on every purchase, all the while the gov't take 1/3 my paycheck to start with. Wouldnt want the US govt to dish it out to other Americans even.

At least your great grandkids will have decent military bases to stay on when they are over in Egypt for the occupation or invasion of another middle east country.

It is Ok since Bush did it. 

It is also OK to intern Japanese Americans and confiscate private gold because FDR did it. 

Also, Ok to suspend freedom of the press because Lincoln did it.

America "misplaced" or can't account for something like $8 billion in cash that went to Iraq. 

Now I know this isn't authorizing it to go to terrorist groups, but I'm pretty sure some of it ended up there. 

I can't believe you're even surprised at this? I almost kind of expect it from our Government. 

My most eye opening part of being in Afghanistan was seeing how much of a presence Government contractors such as Kellogg, Brown, and Root had on base there. They ran every thing, so that means numerous contracts and lots of money. Why on earth would they ever want us to leave Afghanistan? 

And the only thing that would be better than us staying in Afghanistan or Iraq would be to stage a new theater for war. More Government needs means more contracts, which means more money. 

Of course to fight a war, we are going to need an enemy that can pose a threat to American security. We need an enemy that can put legitimate fear into American psyche, even if they realistically can't do much damage on American soil. 

Are you really even surprised at this? Google American bases that surround Iran. Tell me where you think our next theater or war will be.

HoldEm: I recognize the importance of a strong  military and appreciate the sacrifice by our servicemen and their families.  I am against military adventurism especially when blatantly abused for corporate profit.  Although I voted for Obama, I believe he hasn't the courage of his convictions and I am on record as supporting Ron Paul for President because of the above reasons.  Democrats on my shit list include Joe Lieberman, Ben Nelson and Frank Lautenberg to name a few.

K: Thanks for that link.  I was not aware we had so many bases in the region.  Iran SHOULD be paranoid because a first punch would be a knockout.
