I don't believe he was ever on the block, that was the usual completely out in left field NHL media, blowing a story up!  None of them have a clue what the league is really about?

They just then distract everyone from the fact that they were completely wrong by pointing fingers.

Only Dustin and the Kings know what went down, and there don't seem to be any issues there?

Not sure if how serious him being traded was but he has played lights out since rumor came out

Totally agree man.

It was weird because it came from Bob McKenzie who unlike other rumor mongers out there only reports facts from reliable sources.

Regardless, the guy was their captain and he is built for playoffs. There wasn't any logic behind attempting to trade him. What team would trade their leader and top 6 player while trying to make the playoffs?

If he was on the trading block teams would have offered a LOT for him there is no doubt about that.

No clue either as to what really went down, but his numbers have been amazing since that happened. I want to say it might have been a motivational tactic but that doesn't really make sense lol. But you never know, Brown is character guy.

I coulnd't agree more.... I am a huge Dustin Brown fan..... I so badly wanted my Sabres to get him at the deadline..... I would have let the Kings taken virtually whatever they wanted off the Sabres for him.

I remember Eklund talking about Brown to Buffalo so that obviously was never going to happen! lol

Really don't think he was ever on the block....but he has definitely turned the switch on. Guy is a monster when on his game, defs a 'playoff' player.

As the playoffs progressed I said the same thing about Quick... To be honest I could NOT choose between the two and would have had no problem with a shared MVP between them... BOTH were big reason for the results. With the low NJ shot count I almost think maybe it should have been Brown... can't decide... but nice problem to have for the Kings.
