Liking the Kings to sweep the Blues. Blues having a few issues with injuries, and a hot goalie that has lost some of his sizzle. At the start of the series, not sure there were many who picked the Kings to sweep....wonder what the odds were on that? Anyways, I know the Kings would love to finish it off early so it means a few extra days of rest, and as for Richards and Carter, a few extra days of partying.

Tomorrow, the Kings will try to do what they couldn’t do in the first round of the playoffs: close out a series in Game 4 on home ice. The Kings led the series against the Canucks 3-0, with a chance to close out on April 18, but the Canucks won 3-1. The Kings didn’t play a bad game. They led 1-0 after the first period, but the Canucks tied the game 4:07 into the second period with their first power-play goal of the series, then took the lead at the 8:36 mark. The Kings had a chance to tie the game with a third-period penalty shot but didn’t score, and the Canucks took a two-goal lead 22 seconds later.
Did the Kings take anything away from that game that can help them against the Blues tomorrow? Justin Williams and Dustin Brown gave similar answers, both centering around the idea of a strong start.
WILLIAMS: “That Game 4 in that Vancouver series, we thought it was there for us early. They were kind of waiting to see how we were going to play. When we didn’t get that two-goal cushion, it gave them life. I think, tomorrow, we need to continue with that, and give them a reason to think that it’s too hard. If you give any team any life, especially St. Louis — they’ve rattled off four in a row, I’m sure, quite a few times this year — you want to keep the foot down, you want to keep the pedal down. We need our special teams to keep being good, and our power play to score a couple goals, because that would be pretty deflating for them.’’
BROWN: “We had a good start in Game 4 against Van, but we had chances to really take the game and we didn’t. That’s something that we have to be aware of here. We have to get off to a good start against St. Louis. They’re in a tough spot, and it’s a hard thing to battle back from. If we can make it really hard on them in the first period, or get a lead in the first, that’s huge. It’s going to be key for us.’’

I've seen plenty of Kings games for as far back as I can remember... This team is very special and has come together just as well as most of the successful teams do in the playoffs. It's almost hard to believe how well they have done. So many years of frustration... and suddenly they seem to be the team to beat in these playoffs.
The Canucks have more offensive potential than the Blues which the Kings had to respect more. In Game 3 of the 1st round the Kings held on to win 1-0 vs the Canucks... but in this round the Kings were more aggresive on offense and it paid off in a 4-2 win in game 3 vs the Blues.
Game 4 vs the Canucks got away from LA and they looked every bit as tired as they probably were. Since then they seem to have realized thier teams potential and have attacked early and often vs the Blues in round two.
I don't see any reason for the Kings to slow down and play a more defensive style today in this game 4... The Kings will come out firing and try and bury the Blues as early as possible.
I like the Over for the 1st period and for the full game in what I expect to be at least a 4-2 Kings win... and maybe 4-3 if STL can find a way to generate better chances vs Quick and the Kings defense. If it's a 1 goal game late in the 3rd then LA could also add an ENG or two as long as it's not Kopitar trying to hit the empty net(Just kidding Anze).
My Best Guesstimate isKings-5Blues-2
This will give the Kings plenty of time to make plans for the next round vs Phoenix... I wonder which side Gretzky will be rooting for...???
Let's Go Kings...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kings -125 i don't like to take teams to sweep like potvin is saying, but man this team is in championship form. they are pretty much steam rolling their opposition up this point. Quick has been pretty good too. bol man.
