I'm going to miss this card. I'll be out of town.... oh well
Okami/Cerrone/Henderson $80 wins $107
Okami should be miles above Roberts, however Buddy may make a splash in the UFC soon
Cerrone has a good chin, so I don't think Guillard will catch him. If the fight stays on the feet for 3 rounds, it is possible Guillard outpoints him. But I like Cerrone to keep distance. And the fight has to hit the ground at some point, at which point its over
The first fight between bendo/Edgar was close, point wise, but in reality Bendo laid down a beating. I was on Edgar and I thought it was clear cut. I think this is why the odds are so staggered this time around. Bendo by dec
Shields/Herman - Shields should be worth the -180, or whatever it is. Despite his horrible striking, it seems to be improving, and he seems to find a way around it
A lot of tough fights to gauge - prob won't bet much. I have been real impressed with Lentz, even though he's been losing. Looking at him

I can understand people picking Bendo to win. But I don't understand the line. The first fight was a close fight that many credible people scored for Frankie. Either way it was pretty close. Also, if Bendo didn't connect flush with an upkick from his back, Frankie would of been up 2-0 and felt real good.
Frankie has done better in rematches the last 2 times out.
I will take +170 Edgar all day. Who knows who wins, but that is value city.
With you on Okami and Cerrone.
Not sure at all on the Shields fight. He recently said he wished he came earlier to get used to the altitude. So who knows about his cardio. Either way Herman has decent all around skills. Not sure how their wrestling will stack up, but if Herman can prevent being totally controlled he has ways to win this by TKO or Decision. I couldn't bring myself to bet on Shields, he has looked so bad. But I will probably stay away all together.

I think Herman's worth a bet. He matches up pretty well with Shields, and he's basically in the best form of his entire career, you definitely can't say the same about Shields.
The main event is gonna be good.. I was planning on betting Edgar for awhile now, but after rewatching that fight again, I decided I just couldn't do it and actually ended up throwing down on Henderson!
Good luck, I like the parlay

tough to argue with the +170 on a guy that has been in several title fights, and long battles at that... Just don't see a dif outcome myself. Sure the upkick changed the tune, but that's pretty typical in most fights. Same could be said for Edgar when he TKO'd Gray. Arlovski was beating Fedor until he got KO'd, etc.... But they did get clocked and they lost

-200 for shields is crazy. you might as well pay the -300 and get cerrone. guillards only chance here is to catch donald early as hes a front-runner. and although i hate jackson im sure that they both know the only opportunity for melvin is for him is the first round as melvin really has no stoppages after the second round.
and taking into consideration that melvin now trains at sea level and cerrone trains at 5000 why would you even think of shields when cerrone is the much better play.

I think shields wins but likely won't bet it. Should be a fun fight What's the deal with shields gay rumors?... Not that there's anything wrong with that

I'm defiantly starting to lean that way. Herman looked pretty good as a young prospect. But injuries and a split decision really slowed him down. Now he is in his prime and has stayed healthy for a bit.
My only concern is wrestling. Herman has been taken down by far worse wrestlers than Shields. If Shields can get in deep and get a TD he may not sub him, but he could control him.
The wild card is Shields at 185. Last we seen him there he looked real strong. But he has looked so bad since coming to the UFC that it is hard to say.

I would just say an upkick from your back changing the fight is a tad different than a hook or head kick landing. Seems flukey. Not every day a fush upkick lands. While they may practice them, it isn't something that you plan on doing.
Bendo didn't outbox him. He didn't really out wrestle him. He basically landed the bigger shots and kept up with him.
I just see few reasons to take Bendo at anything worse than -150.
I think Frankie is still the better fighter. He has boxed with Penn and out-wrestled Maynard at times.
Should be close either way. The LW division now that Penn is old should be competitive and have very good close fights for a while.

i dont think bendo would lose a bad decision. if anything, edgar would probably be the one on the wrong side of a decision as dana wants him to move down to 145.
i also think that if cerrone fights to win a cautious decision and guillard can keep it close, donald could lose a controversial decision as i believe that dana is sick of these bullshit greg jackson fights, as am i.
jackson has turned once exciting fighters that come to ktfo or get ktfo trying into fighters that are reluctant to close the show or engage, something that the ufc wants to provide for the fans. the condit/diaz, guida/maynard and now the kongo/jordan fight are good examples of greg jackson garbage.
perhaps that is part of the reason that cerrone broke camp and trained primarily in vail for this fight as albuquerque and the pepsi center are the same altitudes.

i think that dana is a very influential person that signs judges paychecks.
and if i was a judge receiving ringside seats, five star hotel accomodations with perks and priveleges all the while getting paid for it i would make damn sure that i would always be giving the benefit of the doubt to danas favorites.
and he would never, ever have to tell me as such.
it would be my job to read between the lines.
