The San Antonio Spurs look to win their sixth straight game when they host the Sacramento Kings on Friday. The Spurs have won eight out of their last nine games after opening up the season 2-3, but still trail the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets in the ultra-competitive Southwest Division. San Antonio is coming off a 106-100 victory over the Indiana Pacers and has held six of its last seven opponents to under 95 points as it hopes to beat the Kings for the fifth straight time at the AT&T Center.

Sacramento has caught many of its opponents by surprise en route to a 9-6 start, but fell to the Houston Rockets 102-89 on Wednesday. The Kings were within striking distance midway through the fourth quarter, but sorely missed Rudy Gay and Darren Collison - who sat out their second straight game due to injury - down the stretch. Sacramento snapped a nine-game losing streak to San Antonio earlier in the season and hopes for more of the same as they aim to conclude their four-game road swing with a winning record.

TV: 8:30 p.m. ET, CSN California (Sacramento), FSN Southwest (San Antonio)

ABOUT THE KINGS (9-6): DeMarcus Cousins notched his eighth straight double-double with 29 points - including 11 from the free-throw line - and 17 rebounds in the loss to Houston. Omri Casspi followed up his 22-point performance in the win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday with 14 points and seven rebounds versus the Rockets. Sacramento turned the ball over 21 times - including seven by Cousins - and finished with only 16 assists against Houston.

ABOUT THE SPURS (10-4): Manu Ginobili provided a spark off the bench by scoring a season-high 28 points while Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker added 21 apiece in the win over the Pacers. San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich missed the victory versus Indiana after undergoing a minor medical procedure and will be absent from the bench on Friday as well. Cory Joseph has been sidelined for the last two games with an ankle injury, but could return in time to face the Kings.
