NHL trade deadline pickups pleasing under bettors

It's been a week since the NHL trade deadline and bettors have had a few games to see how some of the biggest names dealt are fitting in with their new teams.

Since Jason Pominville, Marian Gaborik and Derek Roy were acquired by Minnesota, Columbus and Vancouver, respectively, the under has gone a combined 10-1 in 11 games.

Jason Pominville, Buffalo to Minnesota

The Wild were looking to up their scoring by adding the former 30-goal scorer. But in three games with Pominville in the lineup, Minnesota has been shut-out twice and managed only three goals in three games, well below the team's season average of 2.5 goals per game.

The under has gone 3-0 in all three games since Pominville arrived. Minnesota is 1-2 SU (straight up) and Pominville has two points (1g, 1a) in three games. The Wild's O/U (over/under) record is 16-19-4 in 2013.

Marian Gaborik, NY Rangers to Columbus

The enigmatic Gaborik has been thriving since he got a change of scenery. Out of the bright lights of New York, Gaborik has two goals and three assists in four games with the Blue Jackets. Despite his recent offensive surge, the Jackets are still a hot under bet.

One of the best under teams (15-24-1 O/U) in the NHL, the Blue Jackets continue to keep games tight, with the under going 4-0 in Columbus' four games with the Slovakian sniper.

Derek Roy, Dallas to Vancouver

The Canucks were shopping for a second-line center at the deadline with Ryan Kesler missing 31 games this season with a broken foot. They filled the role with the shifty Roy.

While Vancouver has gone 4-0 since Roy was acquired from the Stars, the team has been winning because of Cory Schneider's stellar goaltending. Roy has only one assist in four games and the under has gone 3-1. The Canucks have been a great under play with a 14-21-5 O/U mark.
