Heisman odds: Manziel the runaway favorite

Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III became the 10th quarterback in the last 12 years to win the prestigious Heisman Trophy last season. If Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel does become the first freshman ever to win the award on Dec. 10, he can look to the Aggies’ 29-24 victory over Alabama as the day that cemented his place in history.

Here’s a look at the updated 2012 Heisman Trophy odds:

Johnny Manziel -500
Manti Te'o +200
Collin Klein +700
Braxton Miller +3000
Marqise Lee +3000
Kenyon Barner +4000

Are there not more voters who see this as an offensive award so would never vote for a Defensive player though?

Te'o may be worth a look. A lot of the Heisman voters are old school and may not vote for a Frosh....
