1* Cincinnati (12:35 ET): I realize that the Reds have struggled to put runs on the board since the All-Star Break, but coming off a 3-0 shutout win yday vs. Arizona, you have to like them at this price at home as they wrap up a three-game set w/ Arizona.
That struggling Reds' offense has cost starter Alfredo Simon in both of his two starts since the break. But w/ a 2.86 ERA & 1.103 WHIP in 20 starts overall, I'm still a believer. The team is 15-5 this year when he takes the mound. He has not allowed more than 3 ER in any of his last 10 starts. In five career starts vs. Arizona, Simon has posted a 1.88 ERA. That includes a win back on June 1st.
Tuesday marked the ninth time this season Arizona was shutout. They've scored only four runs total the L3 games. If that wasn't bad enough, starter Wade Miley allowed six runs in five innings his last time out and has a 5.01 career ERA vs. the Reds. 1* Cincinnati.
