The Seattle Storm hope a change of scenery will help shake their recent funk and stay in the WNBA’s Top 8 — and a spot in the playoffs.

They’ll be at Rogers Centre in Vancouver taking on the Atlanta Dream, who are seeking a seventh straight win.

Our Storm vs. Dream predictions and WNBA picks believe Atlanta will prove superior on August 15.

Storm vs Dream predictions

My Storm vs Dream best bet: Dream -2.5 (-110 at bet365)

The Seattle Storm got a good look at what they're up against when they were tuned 85-75 at home by the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday.

Atlanta’s been a dynamo on both ends of the court during their winning streak, ranking inside the Top 3 in both scoring and points allowed. They’ve also been solid on the margins all season, allowing the fewest points off turnovers and fast-break points.

Seattle is the only team yet to win in August, and their defense is the major culprit, allowing a whopping 91 points per game over the last half-dozen. Only the L.A. Sparks are  allowing more.

That wipes out an offense that’s just behind Atlanta over this stretch, putting up 86.5 points per game.

Atlanta has been a betting darling against the spread in this head-to-head, covering six of the last seven against Seattle. We’ll bet the trend will continue Friday.

Storm vs Dream same-game parlay (SGP)

Dream -2.5

Rhyne Howard Over 15.5 points

Brittney Sykes Under 14.5 points

Rhyne Howard likes beating up on Seattle. In just her second game back from a month-long knee injury, she lit up the Storm for 25 points.

Earlier this year, she also torched Seattle for 33 points on 12-for-24 shooting. That 15.5 scoring line looks gettable for the Dream’s No. 2-leading scorer.

It’s been an uneven start for Brittney Sykes since being acquired at the trade deadline from Washington, and this isn’t a favorable matchup.

She had just seven points on 2-for-10 shooting against Atlanta last game, and Sykes has scored in single-digits in three of her last four against Atlanta.
