Sky vs Sparks Predictions, Picks & Odds for Tonight’s WNBA Game

It's been a slow start for Angel Reese from a scoring perspective, but the rebounds have been there. Our WNBA betting picks will bank on her cleaning the glass once again vs. the Sparks tonight.

Two teams that have gotten off to disappointing starts to the 2025 WNBA season will tip off on Sunday in Los Angeles when the Chicago Sky take on the Sparks.

The Sky are 0-2 with two blowout losses to the Indiana Fever and the New York Liberty. The Sparks have lost three straight after an opening night victory over the Golden State Valkyries.

My Sky vs. Sparks predictions run down the spread and total for this interconference battle as I give my best WNBA picks for May 25.

Sky vs Sparks predictions

My Sky vs Sparks best bet: Angel Reese Over 13.5 rebounds (-108 at FanDuel)

The Los Angeles Sparks opened the season with a nice 84-67 win over the league’s newest team in the Golden State Valkyries. However, since that game, they have lost three straight an allowed at least 82 points in each game.

That includes a rematch with the Valkyries, in which the new franchise pulled off the upset on the road.

Kelsey Plum has been a huge addition for the Sparks, averaging 24.0 points per game, which ranks third in the WNBA. She is also tied for the league lead in both steals and 3-pointers made. But depth has been an issue with only Dearica Hamby and Azura Stevens averaging more than 10.5 points per game and more than 4.0 rebounds per game.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Sky have struggled in every department. They rank last in the league in both scoring offense and defense. Only one player averages double-digit scoring, and that is Rachel Banham off the bench.

Angel Reese has been a rebounding machine, but when she is only shooting 22.7% from the field, it is not doing the team any good.

From a betting perspective though, I will gladly continue to bet on Reese to rack up those boards. The Sparks are currently the worst rebounding team in the WNBA.

Reese has tallied a whopping 15 offensive rebounds through the first two games in blowout losses. I expect this game to be closer, but that should only help her minutes.

This will likely be a high-scoring game, and the fast pace makes me more confident in Reese's ability to hit the offensive glass and get another massive rebounding number.

Sky vs Sparks same-game parlay (SGP)

Angel Reese Over 13.5 rebounds

Over 159.5

Sparks -4.5

To go with my best bet, I am going to hit the Over in the game total.

The Sky are allowing an unfathomable 96.0 points per game over their first two contests. The Sparks defense has not been much better, allowing 86.7 points per game over the last three contests.

The Sky may be the lowest-scoring team in the league, but they average the most field goal attempts per game. This will be a fast-paced tilt.

Finally, I am going to take the Sparks to cover the spread. I do believe the Sky will turn things around eventually, but it won’t be on Sunday. The Sky just do not have the scoring to keep up with the Sparks, and this could be another big day for Plum and Hamby.
