No Napheesa Collier? No problem. The league-leading Minnesota Lynx continue to roll, making them a prime target to cover as they clash with the Washington Mystics on Friday night.

Missing Napheesa Collier hasn't slowed down Minnesota's spread-covering pace.

Expect the Lynx's roster depth to carry the day once again as my Lynx vs. Mystics predictions target Minnesota to clear the road line tonight.

Lynx vs Mystics prediction

Lynx vs Mystics best bet: Lynx -2.5 -105

While both teams are outstanding on defense, the Minnesota Lynx are the much better offensive unit, scoring 92.2 ppg compared to just 81.9 for the Washington Mystics.

The Lynx rank second in the WNBA in offensive rating, first in three-point percentage (39.4%), and first in point differential (+8.8).

The Mystics are averaging 15.9 turnovers per game, and that problem will be magnified against a Minnesota team that ranks second in the league with a 9.7% steal rate.

The Lynx have been dominant with or without Napheesa Collier, and I'm backing them to cover at up to -3.5 points tonight.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Mystics have the second-lowest effective field goal percentage in the WNBA (48.8%), which will make it hard to find ways to score against a Minnesota defense allowing opponents to shoot just 43.1% from the floor.

Lynx vs Mystics same-game parlay

Washington and Minnesota are two of the top three teams in the WNBA in terms of scoring defense. Neither plays particularly quickly either, with the Mystics ranking second-lowest in possessions per 40 minutes. Both games between these teams this season have come in below this total, and I'm backing the Under again tonight.

With Collier out of the lineup, it'll be up to presumptive Rookie of the Year Olivia Miles to lead the Lynx offense. Miles is averaging 19.9 ppg on the season and has scored 20+ in six of her last seven games. She's a great pick to hit the Over on her scoring prop, with 20+ points props also a good option.

Lynx vs Mystics player prop pick

Olivia Miles Over 1.5 made threes +119

Miles' scoring uptick has been fueled by a barrage from three-point range. While the former TCU standout is averaging 1.7 threes in her rookie season, she's been firing away since the all-star break, hitting three or more shots from deep in seven of nine games since then.

While Washington is strong defensively, they rate in the bottom three when it comes to chasing teams off the line, allowing opponents to take threes at a 34.0% rate. Getting plus money on Over 1.5 made threes for Miles is a steal, and I'd happily bet this market down to even money.

Since joining Covers in 2022, Ed has offered his sports betting analysis primarily on MLB, NFL, college football, and college basketball games, but is willing to take on any sport.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Outside of gambling, Ed is an avid curler who competes in mixed doubles on the World Curling Tour and runs a popular curling YouTube channel, Chess on Ice. That experience has come in handy during the Olympics, when he has proven to be a successful curling bettor as well.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
