The No. 3 Atlanta Dream face the No. 6 Indiana Fever on the opening Sunday of the WNBA playoffs. Atlanta heads into the playoffs at full strength, while Indiana is still hobbled by multiple key injuries.

My Fever vs. Dream predictions expect Atlanta to win comfortably, thanks to the elite playmaking of Jordin Canada.

Fever vs Dream predictions

My Fever vs Dream best bet: Jordin Canada Over 5.5 assists (-125 at bet365)

Jordin Canada led the Atlanta Dream in assists per game this season at 5.7, and her assists line is far too juicy not to feature in today’s three-leg parlay.

After missing eight straight due to injury, Canada appeared in the last five games of the season, though she only logged 24.2 minutes per game and three starts. She’s expected to be close to 100% to start the playoffs, which bodes well for today’s performance.

Despite a dip in playing time, Canada still averaged 5.8 dimes across her last five, even dishing four assists in only nine minutes in the season finale. She also handed out at least six helpers in three of her last four to close out the regular season.

Canada finished the 2025 season with at least six assists in 16 of 26 games overall, including 10 of 14 at home. With Atlanta’s rotation of quality shot-makers back to full strength, I expect Canada to look for her teammates early and often.

Fever vs Dream same-game parlay (SGP)

Jordin Canada Over 5.5 assists

Dream -7

Under 159.5

Atlanta’s injury report is clean, while the Indiana Fever are still missing multiple key players who have been out for weeks.

To their credit, the Fever have shown resilience and grit throughout the regular season, finding ways to get buckets from role players and relying on elite defense.

Indiana has exceeded expectations, but this is playoff basketball, and it's clearly undermanned and outmatched. To echo Rick Pitino’s famous words, “Caitlin Clark is not walking through that door,”.

The Dream and Fever have played great defense this season, and each ranked in the Top 5 in defensive rating across the last six games of the regular season.

Indiana hit the Over in just one of six in that span, and I expect that trend to continue tonight in a tough matchup. The Dream were the second-slowest team in terms of pace this season, so expect a slow, low-scoring affair in Atlanta today.
