Indiana @ Golden State picks

As much praise as Caitlin Clark's offense gets, it is underappreciated for its positive effects on Indiana's defense. The Fever are actually better on the defensive end than the offensive end so far this season. The same is true of the Valkyries, showing surprising quality as an expansion team. This will not inherently be a slog, but it should not clear this decent total.

The Valkyries' already thin defense should have their hands full guarding Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell, and Hull is knocking nearly 58% of her four long-range attempts per game. Both groups are in the Top 5 in pace. That environment should help Hull thrive in the Fever transition game, as Golden State ranks 12th in turnovers and surrenders nearly 18 points per game from turnovers. 

Caitlin Clark has made 11 of 20 shots from downtown since returning from a four-game absence. I like her chances of continuing her hot hand as the Valkyries allow 35% shooting from downtown.
