The New York Knicks needed overtime on Wednesday but managed to earn a win in a battle between teams at the bottom of their respective conferences. The Knicks snapped a 10-game slide with the 124-122 triumph over Golden State and will try to post back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they continue a four-game trip by visiting the Sacramento Kings on Friday.

New York got a season-high 36 points from Marcus Morris and earned interim coach Mike Miller his first head coaching win at Golden State. The Knicks were playing the second half of a back-to-back against the league-worst Warriors and squandered a 22-point lead before recovering and finding just enough energy to survive overtime. The Kings are winners of three in a row and took the last two in dramatic fashion, with Nemanja Bjelica burying a 3-pointer at the buzzer in Monday's 119-118 triumph at Houston and Bogdan Bogdanovic knocking down the go-ahead 3-pointer with 13.4 seconds left in Wednesday's 94-93 win over Oklahoma City. Sacramento is trying to get to .500 and will play its next two games against East-worst New York and West-worst Golden State.

TV: 10 p.m. ET, MSG (New York), NBCS California (Sacramento)

ABOUT THE KNICKS (5-20): Morris went 10-of-18 from the floor, 5-of-9 from beyond the arc, and added 10 rebounds in his second double-double of the season and recovered from a 10-point effort in New York's 115-87 loss at Portland on Tuesday. The Knicks also got a double-double on Wednesday from rookie forward RJ Barrett, who collected 22 points and 10 boards in a team-high 46 minutes. Barrett, who was held to five points on 1-of-9 shooting in 19 minutes on Tuesday, is averaging 14.3 points on the season and went 3-of-5 from 3-point range on Wednesday, matching his total made 3-pointers from the previous six contests.

ABOUT THE KINGS (11-13): Sacramento is still without point guard De'Aaron Fox (ankle) and is working power forward Marvin Bagley III (thumb) back into shape off the bench but is leaning on shooting guard Buddy Hield, Bogdanovic and Bjelica to shoulder the scoring load. Hield, who leads the team at an average of 21.5 points, collected 23 points, six rebounds and six assists in Wednesday's triumph, with his pass to Bogdanovic on the go-ahead shot proving to be the most important. Bjelica scored 30 points in a 110-106 victory at Dallas on Sunday, knocked down the game-winner the next night and went 2-of-3 from beyond the arc against the Thunder.
