It’s crunch time at the bottom of the Premier League with 18th-placed West Ham and 17th-placed Nottingham Forest facing off.

With just four points and one spot in the table separating these teams, it’s going to be tense and tight. My West Ham vs. Nottingham Forest predictions are confident that we won’t see both teams scoring.

Read on for my free betting picks for Tuesday, January 6 with kickoff at 3:00 p.m. ET on USA.

Premier League predictions for West Ham vs Nottingham Forest

My West Ham vs Nottingham Forest best bet: Both teams to score – No (+105 at Sports Interaction)

There’s so much at stake in this matchup.

Firstly, there’s Premier League survival to think about. Both teams are in serious danger of the drop.

The home team haven’t won in nine straight games, while Forest have lost four in a row. Both teams would have circled this game as a matchup that they have a good chance of three points in.

For Nuno Espirito Santo, it’s his chance to face his former club that he left earlier this season.

With everything at stake things are going to be tight and cagey, and the teams will be thinking defense first. Failing to win this game isn’t a disaster to either manager, but losing it certainly is.

If West Ham win then Forest are suddenly just a single point from the relegation zone, but a Forest win puts West Ham seven points from safety, a number that feels hard to get back from. This is arguably the biggest game in the Premier League’s relegation battle so far this season.

Both teams have failed to score in 70% of Forest’s road games this season, and we’ve seen BTTS fail to land in five of six games on the road since Sean Dyche arrived at the City Ground.

With West Ham struggling to score, and only scoring in two of their past four at the London Stadium, we should see a low scoring game, with at least one squad getting shut out.

West Ham vs Nottingham Forest same-game parlay (SGP)

Both teams to score – No

Nottingham Forest to win

Elliot Anderson to be shown a card

Neither team are in great form but West Ham are in serious trouble and have failed to win any of their past nine games in the Premier League.

Elliot Anderson has had a great season for Forest, but I'm backing the England international to get booked. He leads his team in fouls committed, with at least a foul in seven straight road trips.
