Everything is on the line as Senegal and Egypt square off in an AFCON semifinal with a finals berth at stake.

With defensive question marks and attacking firepower on both sides, my Senegal vs. Egypt predictions focus on alternative betting angles.

Find out why in my free betting picks for Wednesday, January 14.

Senegal vs Egypt picks and predictions

Senegal vs Egypt best bet: Both teams to score — Yes (+115 at Sports Interaction)

Egypt have not been reliable at the back, managing just two clean sheets in their last 11 matches in all competitions. They've also seen both teams score in seven of their last 10 games.

Senegal bring plenty of attacking punch, scoring three goals in three of their last five outings, but they’re not airtight defensively either and can be caught switching off.

With both sides carrying attacking quality with the likes of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Nicolas Jackson, and Omar Marmoush, and defensive vulnerabilities, this semifinal sets up well for goals at both ends.

Senegal vs Egypt same-game parlay (SGP)

Both teams to score — Yes

Mohamed Salah to score

Sadio Mane 2+ shots on target

Mohamed Salah has been a force for Egypt in this tournament, scoring four goals and winning Man of the Match once.

He's got free rein to roam, drop deep, or play off the shoulder of the last defender. He's also the penalty taker, which could loom large should any big decisions go the Egyptians' way.

As for Mane, he's been quiet in the goalscoring department, but not for a lack of trying.

He registered two shots on target in the quarterfinal vs. Mali and will be relied upon once again to create chances for Les Lions de la Teranga.
