Toronto FC Toronto FC vs FC Cincinnati FC Cincinnati

Pick: Toronto (+115)

Toronto is putting its lengthy homestand to good use, picking up seven points from a possible nine. I like them to add another victory over an FC Cincinnati side that has allowed 18 goals in the last four matches in all competitions.

Austin FC Austin FC vs LA Galaxy LA Galaxy

Pick: Austin (+110)

LAFC is coming off a disappointing 4-2 loss to Toluca in CONCACAF Champions Cup action, and playing in that high altitude takes a toll. Austin put in a terrific showing against LAFC last weekend, and will pick up all three points here.

CF Montreal CF Montreal vs Philadelphia Union Philadelphia Union

Pick: Montreal (+150)

Both of these teams are in contention for this year’s Wooden Spoon, but Montreal have at least shown signs of life. Playing at home for the first time this season will be a nice boost, and there’s no price where I can back the Union at the moment.

Portland Timbers Portland Timbers vs Los Angeles FC Los Angeles FC

Pick: LAFC (-130)

How will Portland respond to allowing two stoppage-time goals to their rivals last weekend? LAFC shouldn’t need to rotate with a 3-0 lead in CCC, so look for them to tear apart the Timbers' back line.

Charlotte FC Charlotte FC vs Nashville SC Nashville SC

Pick: Draw (+230)

Nashville are the better team but a scoreless draw with CF America in CCC means we may see rotation ahead of their match on Tuesday. That will give Charlotte an opportunity to snatch a point.

Inter Miami Inter Miami vs New York Red Bulls New York Red Bulls

Pick: Inter Miami (-217)

I’m not a fan of Inter Miami’s price. That said, NYRB are an inconsistent bunch and the first “easier” opponent that the Herons have faced in some time. They’re more likely to win than not.

New England Revolution New England Revolution vs D.C. United DC United

Pick: New England (-105)

DC United’s defensive numbers look good, but they’ve been bolstered by the likes of Philadelphia and Atlanta. The Revs have looked much stronger at home and are offering good value here.

Vancouver Whitecaps Vancouver Whitecaps vs New York City FC New York City FC

Pick: Vancouver (-154)

The Whitecaps needed a late comeback against Portland, and the injury issues in defense are becoming a real concern. With no more CCC to worry about, I expect their attack will look better against a NYCFC squad that hasn’t yet shown me it can beat a quality side.

Chicago Fire Chicago Fire vs Atlanta United Atlanta United

Pick: Chicago (-164)

Ok Chicago, I see you. That 1-0 win over Nashville opened my eyes a bit, as they scored in the opening minutes and held on for 90 minutes. Atlanta has yet to score a goal in two away fixtures, and that run may continue. Even if they score, it won’t be enough to get a result.

FC Dallas FC Dallas vs St. Louis CITY SC St. Louis CITY SC

Pick: Dallas (+105)

St. Louis City has one goal in three away fixtures, and their 6.4 xG through six matches is among the lowest in the league. Dallas comes in off an impressive 4-0 win at DC United and have scored 11 goals in their last three outings.

Sporting Kansas City Sporting Kansas City vs San Jose Earthquakes San Jose Earthquakes

Pick: San Jose (-130)

Sporting KC’s xG of 4.3 is by far the lowest in MLS, and they’ve conceded seven goals in their last two matches. San Jose’s only slip-up this season was a 1-0 loss at Seattle, which is also the only goal they’ve conceded through six matches. This price feels like a gift.

Colorado Rapids Colorado Rapids vs Houston Dynamo Houston Dynamo

Pick: Colorado (+125)

Colorado suffered a heartbreaker last week. But coming home, where they’ve outscored two opponents 6-1, will ease that pain. Houston cannot close out matches, with four of the 10 goals they’ve conceded this season coming after the 75th minute. I’ll back the Rapids at plus-money.

San Diego FC San Diego FC vs Minnesota United Minnesota United

Pick: San Diego (-141)

Remember that Toluca altitude? It caused issues for San Diego before a 2-2 draw with Real Salt Lake. A 32nd-minute red card doomed them last week against San Jose, but they’ll bounce back to form against a Minnesota side that lost to Nashville and Vancouver by a combined eight goals.

Columbus Crew SC Columbus Crew SC vs Orlando City SC Orlando City SC

Pick: Draw (+360)

I’ll give the caveat that if a team is to win, it’ll be the Crew. But I wouldn’t bet my money, your money, or anybody’s money on them at -200 odds to do so. I will bet on a draw at +360, as Orlando’s got attackers that can give some problems to this Crew back line.
