The Champions League returns on Tuesday, and the game of the day sees Liverpool and Real Madrid meeting at Anfield. This is a rematch of the 2022 Champions League final, with the teams meeting three times since then, all exciting games.
Both teams have started well in the Champions League, but Liverpool are experiencing a tough period currently, especially defensively, which is why our Liverpool vs. Real Madrid predictions are backing Real Madrid’s star striker Kylian Mbappe to score.

Liverpool vs Real Madrid picks and predictions
My Liverpool vs Real Madrid best bet: Kylian Mbappe anytime goalscorer (-111 at Sports Interaction)
It was also destined that Kylian Mbappe would end up at Real Madrid, the club he supported as a child. He started slowly for Los Blancos when he arrived on a free transfer from PSG last year, failing to score in his opening three games. That didn’t last long, though, and he finished with 39 goals in all competitions.
Worryingly for opposing teams, he’s started even better this year, finally getting used to playing as a central striker, working on the shoulders of defenders, and not solely occupying the left channel.
He's been in explosive form, with 13 goals in 11 La Liga games, as well as five goals in just three games in this competition. What’s terrifying is the volume of chances falling to the Frenchman, who's averaging 7.7 shots per game in the UCL.
Liverpool might have won two of their three Champions League games, but they’ve been on a terrible run, winning just two and losing six of their past eight games overall. A large part of that has been their defense, which has been conceding a ton of goals.
Mbappe is arguably the most in-form player on the planet right now, and he should have plenty of chances to find the back of the net against Liverpool’s shaky defense, as he has in all but one game since the start of September.
Liverpool vs Real Madrid same-game parlay (SGP)
We'll add to the SGP by backing both teams to score. As poor as Liverpool have been in recent weeks, the majority of their issues are about conceding goals, not scoring them. The Reds have found the back of the net in all but two games across the entire season.
We’re also backing Real Madrid’s Arda Guler to register an assist. The Turkish star leads his team in assists this season with five in La Liga, as well as having one in the Champions League. He’s operating well in the No. 10 role, and his burgeoning chemistry with his teammates is yielding goals, just as it did last time out against Valencia.
