This is big from so many perspectives that it just can't be dull. One of the most anticipated games of the Premier League season is here to set pulses racing.

Liverpool head into this clash after a shock series of three defeats, and they just can't afford another. United's form has been oscillatory, with some glimpses of excitement after a turbulent start, but I can't see them troubling Liverpool at Anfield.

I'm looking at a home win with lots of excitement, tension, and drama involved.

Here are my Liverpool v Man United predictions and free betting picks for Sunday, October 19.

Premier League predictions for Liverpool vs Man United

My Liverpool vs Man United best bet: Liverpool moneyline (-163 at Sports Interaction)

Liverpool have lost just one of their previous 14 Premier League games with Manchester United, a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford in August 2022. Manchester United are winless in their last nine Premier League clashes at Anfield. They last triumphed away at Liverpool in January 2016 under Louis van Gaal, 1-0. Manchester United are winless in their last eight Premier League trips, since beating Leicester City 3-0 back in March.

The Red Devils last went longer without a league win on the road in 1989, under Alex Ferguson (11).

The only Premier League games United have won since the start of the campaign have been against newly-promoted sides and a 10-man version of Chelsea.

I am backing Liverpool to hold onto the points, and I'll take Sports Interaction's pay of -161, which is above decent.

Liverpool vs Man United same-game parlay (SGP)

Liverpool to win

Over 2.5 goals

Florian Wirtz anytime goalscorer

Over 11.5 corners

There have been over 2.5 goals in 12 of Liverpool's last 13 matches against Manchester United in all competitions. Liverpool's form in front of goal has been excellent when they confronted Man United as of late. They have scored at least twice in each of their last five matches against Manchester United.

Florian Wirtz is yet to register a goal or assist in the Liverpool shirt since his record-breaking €137.5 million move from Bayer Leverkusen. That's despite having nine shots and creating 11 chances. His total of 20 attacking contributions (shots plus chances created) are the most of any player who is yet to score or assist in the Premier League this season. I think he can break the deadlock against United, and I'll include him as an anytime goalscorer in my SGP.

Also in my parlay, I'll include corners to round up a juicy +1,000 return. So far this season, Liverpool averages just over five per match, with United at four per game. I feel there should be context for many corners at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
