Bettors can look forward to some Premier League action on Monday as Crystal Palace faces Leeds at Selhurst Park. It’s been a wild season for both clubs with Crystal Palace becoming a neutrals favorite as they reached the FA Cup semifinal while Leeds sacked Marcelo Bielsa as they tried to stay in the Premier League.

Despite their wildly different seasons, only four points separate them in the league table. Could a late Leeds run see them finish above the South Londoners? Don’t miss our Crystal Palace vs. Leeds tips and predictions to find out.

Crystal Palace vs Leeds predictions

Our side and total predictions are based upon our analysis of the line and total in this game. Our best bet is our favorite pick across all markets.

Side analysis

Crystal Palace have arguably been the neutrals favorite team in the Premier League this season. Their talented pool of young players and the coaching of Patrick Vieira has seen them lauded by many, including myself. They are incredibly fun to watch and this feels like a club truly going somewhere, as evidenced by them reaching an FA Cup semifinal.

Leeds didn’t feel like a club going anywhere. They’ve struggled all season with a mind-boggling amount of injuries and poor form which ultimately saw the club get rid of legendary cult icon Marcelo Bielsa and replace him with Jesse Marsch. They entered this weekend five points ahead of 18th place Burnley, meaning they should be safe, but it’s far from confirmed.

It's been two very different seasons for both clubs yet a closer look at the Premier League table shows just four points separate them. That indicates just how much media storytelling impacts our views on things, with these two clubs potentially a lot closer than many would think.

Patrick Vieira will send his Crystal Palace team out in their usual 4-3-3 and they’re not missing many players although it’s expected that Michael Olise will miss the game having gone off with a knock in the midweek loss to Newcastle.

That means that it’ll be left to the talismanic Wilfried Zaha and Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher to do the majority of the work creating and fashioning chances. The Palace defense has a clean bill of health so we should see Marc Guehi and Joachim Anderson continue their promising pair at centerback.

Leeds will continue to set up in the 4-2-3-1 that Marsch has utilized since arriving in Leeds. They’re still missing some starters, including Patrick Bamford, but the return of England international Kalvin Phillips to the midfield has hugely improved them.

Their Brazilian number 10 Raphinha also looks to be reinvigorated, having looked disinterested earlier in the season. He is the key goal threat for the team and leads them in scoring with 10 goals this season. Daniel James, likely to start down the middle, has only four goals but his electric pace causes enough issues that it’s allowed him to become a creator even if it isn’t him getting the assists.

The bookies have Crystal Palace as favorites, which is entirely fair but I won’t be betting them, instead, I’d really recommend putting your money on Leeds at +255. The underdogs haven’t lost in a month and come into this in great form, having won three of their past four games scoring nine goals in the process.

For Palace, it feels like the season is unraveling after a hugely impressive start and FA Cup run. A 1-0 loss to a poor Newcastle team followed that FA Cup semi defeat to Chelsea, and this looks like a team who are starting to plan their holidays now that their only chance of glory has been taken away from them. Back Leeds to seal their safety with an away win.

Prediction: Leeds moneyline (+255 at DraftKings)

Over/Under analysis

This isn’t my best bet of the game, although maybe it should be, but -118 on Over 2.5 goals looks like huge value. There has been Over 2.5 goals scored in 15 of Leeds' past 18 Premier League games. This season they’ve seen Over 2.5 goals in 68.8% of their games on the road. Incredibly that total has been reached in eight of nine road games since the start of December.

Crystal Palace, despite having some incredibly talented young defensive players, have also leaked goals at times this season. 56.3% of their games at Selhurst Park have seen Over 2.5 goals, something I expect to continue on Monday.

Prediction: Over 2.5 (-118 at FanDuel)

Best bet

As you’d have read above, Over 2.5 goals is probably the best bet in Crystal Palace vs. Leeds at odds of -118, but there’s something with far bigger odds of +550 that leaps out at me as I browse my betting apps.

That bet is for Leeds forward Jack Harrison to find the back of the net. The 25-year-old Englishman is well known to anybody who watches the MLS, having scored 14 goals in 55 games for New York City FC. He’s performed well at Leeds since initially arriving on loan in 2018 but this season he’s really developed into an offensive threat.

He’s Leeds’ second-highest goal scorer in the Premier League with seven goals in 26 starts, the majority of which see him playing from the left flank. It’s clear that Marsch sees him as somebody who can contribute goals and in his six appearances since Marsch took over he’s scored three goals, with them coming in each of his last three games.

At +550 on FanDuel, you’re getting a fantastic price on Harrison scoring anytime in the game and continuing his excellent form. It’s well worth a small stake given his recent performances.

Pick: Jack Harrison to score (+550 at FanDuel)
