Nice to see the media all over this. And obama renouncing all the credit he was trying to take for "green shoots". Does this administration get anything right?
No matter whether this was intentional or unintentional it tosses the 7.8% statistic that Obama is touting into the toilet.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics say the California jobs numbers arrived too late to be included. According to the LA Times the jobless rate in California on September 21, 2012 was 10.6%.
California has the third-highest unemployment rate,
behind Nevada, which saw its jobless rate rise to 12.1% in August, and
Rhode Island at 10.7%.”

are you really this stupid? do you fact check ANYTHING you post? the states play ZERO role in the generation of the unemployment numbers.
do you even know how the number is calculated or do you just puke up whatever Rush shoves down your gullet?
you are a joke.
Are you aware what a monster facial you just took all over your nasty visage and down your annoying throat? Yes you were throated. You response is a zero just like your insight and knowledge. If the hard left isn't giving you inane talking points you have nothing to say. 7.8% is a farce and has been discredited just like you.

Romney's problem is that unemployment has fallen greatly in a bunch of the swing states i.e. Iowa, Ohio and even Florida to an extent. In terms of the election, unemployment in CA doesn't matter.

You do realize that the national rate was directly impacted by the misstated Cali numbers, right? It really is as simply as that. There's no way the rate is under 8% and is likely higher than it was last month.
And no, numbers are not "significantly" better in any state, in fact Sept job creation numbers were worse than August and 2012 worse than 2011. The country is sliding backward.
Romney has no apparent problems, this is his election to lose.

The man in charge of the agency responsible for reporting Cali's numbers is a ............................................Obama donor .
Marty Morgenstern, the secretary of the California agency that substantially under-reported the unemployment claims ..contributed to President Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential election campaign..According to campaign disclosure records, Morgenstern donated $4,600 — the maximum amount allowed by law — to the 2008 Obama camapaign,,,
Nothing to see here folks...move along ...

ss...tell me how unemployment rate is calculated. please.
Austin - each state has to report numbers by a certain date. They do factor in the overall number. California missed the reporting date for the September numbers. OP is correct.

Surprise! CA Official Who Underreported Unemployment Figures is Big Obama Donor
declaring, “Jobless claims fall to four-year low.”
Gee, hard to believe Obama is trying to manipulate voters with bogus data. Next thing you know they’ll be claiming we’re in boom times.
According to campaign disclosure records, Morgenstern donated
$4,600 — the maximum amount allowed by law — to the 2008 Obama
camapaign, beginning with a $1,000 contribution to Obama for America in
February 2008. Morgenstern followed up that donation with a $1,300
contribution in June, and then a $2,300 payout in early September.
To no surprise, Morgenstern has longtime labor ties. I wonder if all the media that reported the bogus numbers last week will follow up with this obvious political manipulation?
(ahd apparently thinks the federal number just magically appears totally irrespective of any state figures, which is how obama would like it too. Autonomy to make up his own number. Idiot.)

Iowa unemployment: February 2009: 6.2% Current: 5.2%
Virginia unemployment: February 2009: 6.2% June 2009: 7.1% Current: 5.9%
Ohio unemployment: March 2009: 9.6% July 2009: 10.6% Current: 7.0%
Just look at the charts. When Obama took office, unemployment was soaring. It continued to rise for a number of months, stabilized and is now reversing. Even if Cali it's down from 12.4% to around 11%. But in the battleground states in particular -- Ohio, Florida, Virginia Iowa, etc - unemployment has improved greatly over the last couple of years and even more so recently.
If you want to ignore facts, then we can just end the thread.
