I've had this theory for years. I remember watching a segment on 60 MINUTES on Las Vegas & Sports Betting & how they use Algorithms, Computers, Simulated games, Bell Curves etc to set lines. I don't buy it.
But from what I remember from that segment was that they wouldn't let 60 MINUTES into the back rooms where the computers were.
I'm not a religious person. I do believe in Psychics. One Voodoo lady in New Orleans predicted a famous celebritie's future. It's in his book (Bret Hart).
I know you guys will laugh, but I believe Vegas knows the outcome of the game already. Your first thought: "Then they would win every time." Well.. most of the time they do. That's why they're building new hotels every year. But my reply to that would be.. they want people to win so they can gain the confidence & continue to bet.. and what ends up happening? You become addicted and lose.
I know this. I'm ML betting from now on. I had the OVER 71.5 with Mizzou/Oklahoma State. I had Ohio State. I had Alabama -14. I had Atlanta Falcons -2.5, & I'm tired of everything coming down to the last play or drive. We all see it on BAD BEATS with Scott Van Pelt. It just doesn't make sense.

You wouldn't be posting a bunch of garbage (and that is what your entire post is, GARBAGE) if you were on the right side of some of your so called "fixes". For the 9 millionth time, the games aren't fixed, you were just on the WRONG SIDE!

The problem is you are free to pick either side of a play. Also, when there are hundreds and thousands of games, a few are gonna be close to what the linemakers thought. I mean, this is what they do for a living. Maybe they are just that good.
Do you really think if these things were controlled it would come down to the final play or drive on national tv? Im not saying games arent fixed, but its not widespread. Football is very hard tp fix becuase there are 22 guys on the field. A pitcher can serve meatballs, a boxer can take a dive, tennis player not show up, basketball player cant shoot that night.....but football? Ya gotta get more than one guy to be in on it.....Now, refs can control games and thats another story. However, with the replays and rules its harder.
What about if you had Ok St/Mizzou under? Oklahoma +14? Actually, you could have had Ohio St -4
5 & Wash +6.....
If they knew Army was gonna win by 56, why was the line 3? If they new Texas was gonna beat Georgia, why were they +13??
Ya gotta realize that every time you think you got "unlucky ", someone else got "lucky". Its all part of the game and odds. It all evens out. Ya always hear about bad beats, but nobody really talks about being reeeeaaaalllyyyy fortunate.
Youre great when you win, unlucky in a fixed game when you lose. Thats simply no way to gamble and you cant/wont win unless you figure out whats really going on.

..How is Atlanta a bad beat?...They were down 20-7 @ the half...They were very fortunate to win the game....The OK State/Mizz...it was 10 points scored after the 1st quarter.....so it was trending under big time.....OK/Bama...OK never punted after the 1st quarter..they were moving the ball on Bama..

I believe a lot of the time when it comes to (seemingly fixed) games like Ohio State/Wash or Mizzou/Ok st. for example, we confuse incompetence with morality (best word i could think of as to why a coach/player/ref would throw a game)

I NEVER SAID the games were fixed or scripted. I said I believe Vegas knows the score ahead of time. Via Psychic. Yes. A Psychic. Did you guys read my post? And I didn’t call Atlanta Falcons or Oklahoma State a “bad beat.” I just brought up that segment in general. The most “fixed” game that comes to mind was Game 5 of the 1997 NLCS with Eric Gregg’s fat self calling everything Livan Hernandez a strike. It’s on YouTube. I watched it live.

My belief is that both pro and college football is fixed by the refs. That's why the NFL comes down so hard when coaches, and players criticize the refs. That's where the game is being fixed. Now not all of the games are fixed, but certainly some of them including the games that have lots of money on them, and are lopsided.
I remember I saw a bookie in the airport one time on my way to vegas. He told me that all of the money was on the team playing the Cincinnati Bengals one weekend, and to lay on Cincy. I didn't because at the time cincy sucked real bad w/ palmer as qb. Nevertheless, I sat down in the vegas book and watched this game. Low and behold, it was the worst officiated game I had seen to date (not knowing any better at the time). The refs were calling BS holding calls, etc. throughout the game. Cincy covered of course, and Vegas took all the money that was on the other side.
Again, not saying all of the games were fixed, but the Ohio State game was pretty obvious w/ the frivolous PI calls being called at the end of the game.
In terms of NOT betting on games, it takes all of the fun out of watching, so what are you gonna do?! Anyways, I had twenty bucks on the OSU/WA game, so no biggie, but man what happened in the end of that game was total hogwash.

I agree the games are fixed but they are NOT fixed by Vegas and certainly not fixed for the reasons you mentioned. Think of how much money ESPN, CBS, FOX, NBC and even the leagues themselves has invested in sports worldwide. Do you really think sports betting in Vegas comes ANYWHERE close to that?
The games are rigged to keep them close and exciting for the networks spending billions to produce and advertise on, not for Vegas to make a few million on some stupid bowl game. Winning teams everywhere get calls against them to keep them close, big name teams get calls against them to keep them close, major market teams get calls for them so they can reach the postseason.
Maybe Soccer games in South America or Coastal Carolina basketball games have family members betting on the game and players perform poorly down the stretch, but if anyone is rigging games, its not Vegas.

Especially NBA I’ve seen it all this discussion about Fixed or not comes yearly on here been betting over 20years.Let me take yall back to the Jags@Pats last year AFC Championship game I was there at the game as well. Y’all tell me who should of been in the SB?
Seeing coaches giving hand sign to each other!! WTH
CB Ramsey got in trouble for keeping it too real
(Quote: the coach want us to let them score and we didn’t want them too) Seeing jaguars player crying after the game knowing they had that game locked in.well I won betting on Jags plus the points. But the matter to the facts that Players play the game to win, refs get the call to fixed the game from etc etc etc.
Can the real slim shady please stand up!!
It’s all about money & entertainment for the fans.
Good pointer Rickey
