I haven't been knocked out yet, but I have been getting peppered by Floyd Mayweather shots to the body the last two weeks, I have been slow out of the gates to say the least and I'm down a little money, time to get back to the winner's circle

    Random Thoughts from Week 3

USC losing @ Washington is flat out absurd, I think Pete losing so much of his coaching staff each year is taking it's toll, he is still good enough by himself to outcoach the likes of Tressel but he can't lose at Washington, I know the Huskies are improved and showing some fight, but come on, no other top program would seemingly lose at Washington in my opinion unless everything in the world went wrong

Congrats to Washington and their fan base, Steve S is a solid football guy and has that program heading in the right direction, just goes to show you how bad of a coach Ty Willingham really is

Oklahoma State is just overrated, a win over that half ass Georgia team doesn't look so great now after watching their offense continue to sputter against teams like Houston and Rice, at one during the 4th quarter last night Rice was equal to Ok St. in total yards, that is laughable, no wonder I can't get on a winning streak

Cincy continues to impress, that team is the real deal as far as the Big East is concerned and the clear cut favorite to win that conference in my opinion

the guy's announcing the Tennessee/Florida game were a disgrace to college football, I literally had to mute the TV in the 2nd half before I threw up all over myself, it was bad enough I was having a losing day, I didn't need to hear those dipshits any more

Riley is still showing signs of improvement and Best is making a case for a Heisman Run, California can't sleepwalk through a full quarter like they did against Minnesota if they want to play for a title, this team has a legit shot of running the table and playing for the National Title, the Pac-10 is up for grabs this season and Cal has to be considered the favorite

Saban and Alabama are an impressive bunch, I know they haven't played great teams so far but that has some serious athletes and are very well coached, they can compete with Florida if they get solid QB play for a full game, Florida is still the favorite but Bama is also a nice team

watching Arkansas and Georgia run up and down the field all night I sort of felt like I was watching a WAC game, this is now consecutive weeks I have heard about SEC defenses and then watched them scored 80 plus points on each other, it was an exciting game to watch though and I was impressed with the Arkansas QB, he should continue to get better

BYU got absolutely bitchslapped by Florida State, the Seminole advantage in speed was very evident, the Cougs had no business being favored by 8 in that game, what didn't I recognize that when I saw the line?  Probably because I'm an idiot and off my game

Great thoughts Wahoos.  I had some of the same myself.  I muted the Gator game and had the Gator radio on instead.  It was terrible broadcast, and I hate when the Gators are on CBS.  The SEC looks awful on defense this season outside of Florida and Bama. I like Mallet a lot though and ARK is in good shape with him there.

GL this week, you will bounce back.  It all averages out in the end

Watching Arky play UGA last night reminded me a lot of watching some of L'ville teams earlier in the decade.  They would often get into those 55-48 games.

wow, the lines are moving quickly today and heavily, Ohio St. down to 14, Zona to 2, Ark St to -1, ECU - 9.5, I'm feeling good about some of those early grabs for the first time this season

ECU, UGa and Oregon State made my first cut, and I thought about UB and Michigan.  The only one I don't agree with is Pitt.  In a couple of my threads last week, I predicted Washington outright [Washington +14 (pups win this outright, but I'll take the extra 14) - from my pleaser of the week thread].  Why?  Ridiculous edge at QB for the home team.  I could start at QB for Pitt, and I could coach there too.  I let them prove to me that the Stache and the Stull can go on the road agaisnt a decent team and get a W.

    Others:

Memphrica 3 - just play all the CUSA middle of the pack home teams against one another.

BC +3 (hook) - speaking of horrible QB play, I'll take BC at home.

Cincy -14 - what a great spot for a total quit job from a team that practically invented the concept.

UNM, TexTech, ND, maybe yor cheaters from Happy Valley.

I make an appearance and you went 4-1-1....I step away for 2 weeks and you go and mess up my karma   Don't sweat the past 2 weeks bro, the lines will once again be your friend. Here's to a cash grabbing week and I'll check back in to see your final card so that I know who to pull for this weekend

The USC loss wasn't such a shock.  Going on the road without a QB against a conference opponent is a tall order for any team.  I picked USC, but I know two people who picked Washington outright.

I agree with you on Cincinatti.  I've been on board since day one.  I live 10 minutes from the Rugters campus.  The line in that game was a joke.  RU is trash, Cinci is Class.  I maxed out my account on the money line in that massacre, and I loaded up on them again against the Beavers.  Pike is a Horse.  To bad Vegas will have caught on to Cincinnati now.  No more gift lines.

I can't believe the Georgia offense either.  Last year with Stafford, Knowshown, Massaquoi and the bunch, at times the Bulldog O couldn't get out of their own way!  This year they are suddenly a track team???  Go figure.

The announcers in the UF/Tenn game were the worst.  I was mainly watching the USC mess, but what I was able to catch was pure poop.

Alabama is only going to get better each week.  They have a realistic shot to win the national title.

you can attempt to call me out at anytime, I'm not going to call you or anyone else a hater, all I can say about the Illinois game is you evidently didn't see the openers, the number 17 lasted a split second but the number 16.5 was around for more than a few minutes, I noticed you also disagreed with me thinking Penn St could possibly be "on the take" last week when I made mention of them not covering those spreads, well, they once again didn't cover the big number by laying down in the 2nd half, maybe I'm wrong about them, but I also called it when Toledo was doing the same thing, now their players are in federal court facing jail time, I don't remember you ever wishing me luck bro, just trying to call me out for some reason, I welcome any open conversation about the lines, games, whatever and I don't think your a hater if you disagree with something I write, I am very opinionated and obviously if I were always right I wouldn't be hitting at a 47% clip so far this year

you know I hate betting on Porn Stache but Pitt looks like a much stronger team to me than NC State, maybe I'm wrong like I seem to be lately but I'll pay to see it just because I think NC State is terrible, I just can't get it out of my mind that they scored 3 points against South Carolina in their home opener on National TV in what seemingly was the biggest game at their place in a while

as always Maine, we agree on most others

maybe I need you around here bro, I have always been money when you were here before, hope you are having a good start to the season, this year is just weird to me, other than Florida I can't even name a very good team, everyone seems so flawed this year except the Gators, what gives?
