Stars vs Oilers player props for May 25

Jake Walman 2+ shots (-165 at BET99)

Both teams are likely to come out aggressive in this pivotal Game 3. A win in this matchup means taking control of the series, and each side is expected to fire shots early and often.

In a high-event game, Jake Walman will record at least two shots on goal. He’s done so in the past four games, averaging 2.8 shots over that stretch.

This success will continue against Dallas, which finished the regular season ranked 23rd in the league in shots on goal allowed per game.

Evan Bouchard 3+ shots (-105 at BET99)

Another defenseman worth backing is Evan Bouchard. He's the point man on Edmonton’s top power-play unit and is never shy about shooting the puck.

Bouchard has also been logging heavy minutes this postseason, skating more than 23 minutes in nine of the past 10 games. The opportunities are there, and now is the time to buy low after he failed to hit this mark in the past five games.

It’s not for lack of effort; Bouchard is averaging 13.71 shot attempts per 60 minutes this postseason. Eventually, more of those will start reaching the net.

Mikko Rantanen 3+ shots (-125 at BET99)

Sticking with the high-event theme, there’s no better Star to target for shots on goal than Mikko Rantanen. He has arguably been Dallas’ MVP this postseason, leading the team in offensive production.

You can’t score without putting pucks on net, and Rantanen has been doing just that. He ranks second among Dallas skaters in shot attempts per 60 minutes.

Unlike Bouchard, many of Rantanen’s attempts have reached the goal. He's recorded three or more shots on goal in three of the past four games.
