The Vancouver Canucks welcome the Dallas Stars to Rogers Arena this evening for a Western Conference affair, with puck drop scheduled for 10:00 p.m. ET.

Evander Kane has been a mile better at home, and my Stars vs. Canucks predictions will explain why I expect him to create numerous chances tonight.

Stars vs Canucks prediction

Stars vs Canucks Best bet: Evander Kane Over 2.5 shots on goal (-130)

Evander Kane came over to the Vancouver Canucks in the offseason from the Edmonton Oilers, but he hasn’t posted huge numbers. The Vancouver-born forward has just 11 points in 21 games, which isn’t great.

However, Kane does tend to be busy offensively at Rogers Arena, even if it doesn’t necessarily result in points.

The veteran is averaging 3.88 shots on goal at home in 2025-26 across nine contests. He’s cashed the Over in shots on target in two of his last four contests as well, with one of those games coming at home.

In that contest, Kane had eight shots on goal in a loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

While Kane didn’t play at all in the 2024-25 regular season, he did have 10 shots on net in three meetings with the Dallas Stars in 2023-24.

Stars vs Canucks same-game parlay

Although the Canucks may be having a poor campaign, Elias Pettersson has bounced back so far from a tough 24-25 season.

The Swede has six goals and 13 helpers in 21 appearances. He’s on fire right now, cashing the Over in points in four straight.

Pettersson also has eight points in nine home games this season.

It’s impossible to ignore what Jason Robertson is doing right now. One of the Stars’ best players, Robertson has registered 23 points in only 19 outings.

The 26-year-old has easily cashed the Over in points in four in a row, posting three points in three of those games.

Stars vs Canucks SGP

  • Evander Kane Over 2.5 shots on goal
  • Elias Pettersson Over 0.5 points
