Our best NHL player props for Wednesday, March 18

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Prop #1: Stuart Skinner Over 26.5 saves

-120 at BET99

The Carolina Hurricanes tilt the ice in their favor at home with a league-leading 60.4 Corsi For percentage at five-on-five while averaging a monster 32.3 shots per game.

Simply put, Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Stuart Skinner is going to be busy tonight.

Skinner has also posted a respectable .903 save percentage with 15.94 goals saved above expected across his past 15 starts since settling in with the Pens.

Prop #2: Logan Thompson Over 24.5 saves

-115 at BET99

Washington Capitals starter Logan Thompson sports a tidy .920 save percentage and 2.16 GAA across his past six home starts, and he stands to face plenty of rubber tonight with the Ottawa Senators in town.

The Sens have averaged 29.7 shots per game while ranking fourth in Corsi For percentage at five-on-five during the active 11-2-2 heater, after all.

Prop #3: Leo Carlsson Over 2.5 shots

+125 at BET99

Anaheim Ducks superstar Leo Carlsson has been scorching hot following the Olympics and has racked up three or more shots in seven of 11 games for 35 total on 64 attempts. He’s also averaged 3:48 of power-play time during the heater, in addition to pacing the Ducks in five-on-five Corsi For percentage.

The Philadelphia Flyers allow just 25.7 shots per game, but that’s overpriced into this +125 number, and Carlsson is quickly proving to be matchup proof.
