Our best NHL player props for Sunday, October 26
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Connor Bedard Over 2.5 shots
One of Sunday evening’s games features the Chicago Blackhawks hosting the Los Angeles Kings. A clear direction for superstar forward Connor Bedard has recently been to shoot the puck more, and he’s taking that message to heart.
Bedard has recorded 3+ shots in each of the past three contests, averaging more than five shots per game over that span. His willingness to shoot has been even more apparent than the numbers show, as he has hit a handful of posts that don’t officially register as shots.
He’s likely to find room to skate against a tired Kings lineup, which enters this contest on the second half of a road back-to-back.

Prop #2: Wyatt Johnson anytime goalscorer
Speaking of back-to-backs, the team the Kings lost to last night was the Nashville Predators. Because that game went to overtime and a shootout, there could be some tired legs for the Preds as they host the Dallas Stars.
That’s the last thing Nashville needs, as it ranks 22nd in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60). If anyone on Dallas is going to score, it’s likely to be forward Wyatt Johnston.
This season, Johnston leads the Stars in goals and power-play goals, two ways to attack Nashville, which also ranks in the bottom half of the league in penalty minutes per game.

Prop #3: Mikko Rantanen Over 0.5 assists
Backing up Nashville’s weak blue line is goaltender Justus Annunen, who gets the start after Juuse Saros played last night against Los Angeles. Annunen struggled in his lone appearance this season, allowing five goals on 26 shots for an .808 save percentage (SV%).
There’s a strong correlation between Wyatt Johnston scoring and Mikko Rantanen recording an assist. Two of Johnston’s past three goals included a helper from Rantanen.
Rantanen’s passing has been on full display this season; he leads the Stars with seven assists through the first eight games.
