Our best NHL player props for Saturday, March 14
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Matt Duchene Over 0.5 assists
Matt Duchene has only played in 40 games this season for the Dallas Stars, but he’s contributed 13 goals and 19 assists. The veteran is making his presence felt in March as a playmaker, handing out eight helpers.
Duchene has cashed the Over in five of six games this month, and he’s tallied an assist in three consecutive appearances. The Stars welcome the Detroit Red Wings to town tonight, and Duchene tallied an assist against them earlier in the campaign.
Also, Detroit has lost two in a row, conceding four goals in each game. Dallas should thrive offensively after scoring seven against Edmonton on Thursday, and Duchene will play his part.

Prop #2: David Pastrnak Over 0.5 assists
David Pastrnak is one of the most electric offensive players in the NHL, and the numbers say it all.
He’s notched 78 points, and 54 of them have been assists. The Czechia native hit the Over in helpers in three of his last four, and tonight’s matchup heavily plays in his favor.
The Bruins face the Washington Capitals, and Pastrnak has compiled four assists across just two meetings with Alex Ovechkin & Co. He also has 25 helpers in 29 road outings as Boston heads to the nation’s capital here.
The Bruins’ offense runs through Pastrnak, and they’re also elite on the power play. Whenever Boston does score with a man advantage, Pastrnak is typically involved.

Prop #3: Macklin Celebrini anytime goal
We’re all aware of just how special a player Macklin Celebrini is, especially after watching him shine for Canada at the Olympics. The San Jose Sharks star has already posted 33 goals this season, which ranks him 12th in the league.
Celebrini has found the back of the net in four of his last five appearances, and he’ll be looking forward to tonight’s clash. The Sharks take on the Montreal Canadiens, and the youngster scored and had three helpers against them on March 3.
Celebrini has netted 16 goals in 31 road games as well.
