Our best NHL player props for Monday, October 20
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Artemi Panarin Over 0.5 assists
The New York Rangers may not be off to the greatest start this season, but Artemi Panarin is certainly doing his part. The Russian has collected six points so far, and that includes five helpers. Panarin finished with three assists in a win over the Canadiens on Saturday.
The veteran is undoubtedly one of NY’s top playmakers. He had 52 helpers last season and posted 60+ in back-to-back seasons before 2024-25. He’s cashed the Over in assists in three of his last six appearances.
After lighting it up offensively over the weekend, Panarin’s confidence will be high tonight as he faces the Minnesota Wild. He had three helpers in just two meetings with them last season.

Prop #2: Kyle Connor Over 0.5 assists
The Winnipeg Jets rewarded Kyle Connor with the richest contract in franchise history just before the season, and he’s living up to the billing so far in 2025-26. He's posted three goals and five assists through five contests.
The veteran scored all three of his goals in one game, but he’s cashed the Over in assists in the last two, collecting three helpers during that span. Connor set up one goal in a win over the Predators on Saturday.
While he’s an electric goal scorer, Connor is also a brilliant playmaker. I’ll take him to keep the assist streak going tonight as the Jets take on the Calgary Flames because he had three helpers in two games against them last season.
- Time: 9:30 p.m. ET
- Where to watch: SNF, TSN3
Prop #3: Seth Jarvis Over 2.5 shots
Seth Jarvis can do a little bit of everything for the Carolina Hurricanes, and that’s evident by his stats right now. He’s scored six goals while supplying two helpers. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native is averaging 4.4 shots on goal across five contests, so you can see why we’re hammering the Over.
Jarvis has cashed the Over in shots on target in all but one game this season. He’s registered 13 shots on net across his last two appearances alone. Jarvis has no issues creating opportunites as one of the Canes’ top guys.
Yes, Carolina is facing the defensively sound Vegas Golden Knights tonight, who allow the sixth-least shots on goal per night. Nevertheless, I expect Jarvis to still create havoc.
