Jets vs Wild Best bet: Under 5.5 (+105)
The Winnipeg Jets have played to the Under in four of their past five games, and No. 1 goalie Connor Hellebuyck has been up to his usual antics with a .928 SV% and 2.16 GAA while turning away 9.77 goals above expected across seven starts.
Additionally, while Winnipeg has scored the 12th-most goals per game (3.33), the Jets are also sporting a ninth-ranked 10.7 team shooting percentage at 5-on-5, which is likely unsustainable given they also rank last in expected goals per 60 minutes.
Turning to the Minnesota Wild, they’ve averaged just 2.7 goals per game to rank 27th in the league, and I’m anticipating improved play from starter Filip Gustavsson. Sure, he’s off to a tough start, but he also posted a rock-solid .914 SV% and 2.56 GAA last season.
The total has only gone Over the number in two of the past 10 meetings between the divisional rivals, too.
Jets vs Wild same-game parlay
While Winnipeg definitely has splashes of statistical correction coming at 5-on-5, the Jets are 6-3 to start the season, and they’ve only lost by more than two goals once.
Plus, Hellebuyck is 125-59-9 dating back to the beginning of the 2022-23 campaign.
Turning to the final leg of this same-game parlay, Wild center Marco Rossi projects to jump the boards with star winger Kirill Kaprizov again tonight, and the duo have clicked for a respectable 3.19 goals per 60 minutes and drive possession with a 57.7 Corsi For percentage at 5-on-5.
Rossi has also piled up eight points — two goals — through the first nine games after finishing off his first 60-point campaign last year.
