Golden Knights vs Rangers Prediction, Picks & Same-Game Parlay for Tonight’s NHL Game

With the Rangers missing their star goaltender and top defenseman, Mitch Marner catches them at the perfect time as he continues climbing the assist leaderboard.

Mitch Marner is an elite playmaker and his production reflects that. Despite adjusting to new linemates, coaches, and systems, Marner has hit the ground running and sits tied for 15th in assists.

My Golden Knights vs. Rangers predictions are banking on him picking up another helper Sunday night, capitalizing against a team playing without its star netminder and No. 1 defenseman.

Let’s dive deeper into my NHL picks for Sunday, December 7.

Golden Knights vs Rangers prediction

Golden Knights vs Rangers Best bet: Mitch Marner Over 0.5 assists (-140)

Mitch Marner has long been one of the league’s best playmakers. He has taken it up another level in Vegas, with 21 of his 26 points coming by way of assist.

More than 80% of his production has stemmed from creating goals for others, which is the highest rate of his career.

The Golden Knights have dealt with some key injuries this season but they’re now at full-strength up front.

All of their stars – Jack Eichel, Mark Stone, Tomas Hertl, Pavel Dorofeyev – are healthy at the same time, leaving Marner plenty of weapons to distribute the puck to at 5-on-5 and on the power play.

He’s facing off against the New York Rangers at the right time as well. No. 1 defenseman Adam Fox is out with an injury while Igor Shesterkin will get the night off after playing in an overtime game against Colorado on Saturday.

Jonathan Quick has played extremely well this season but he had an .894 save percentage just last year. It goes without saying he’s a step down from Shesterkin, whose save percentage sits above .910 for the 6th time in seven seasons.

Golden Knights vs Rangers same-game parlay

Pavel Dorofeyev has failed to score in nine straight games and yet he’s only one back of Tomas Hertl for the team lead.

He is an exceptional shooter and the go-to-guy on the man advantage, which is especially beneficial against the Rangers. They’ve struggled mightily on the kill this season.

Shea Theodore has multiple shots in 11 of his last 14. He should get plenty of looks as New York’s allowed the 5th most shots to defensemen over their past 10 games.

Golden Knights vs Rangers SGP

  • Mitch Marner Over 0.5 assists
  • Pavel Dorofeyev anytime goal
  • Shea Theodore Over 1.5 shots
