The Western Conference Final returns to the American Airlines Center with Game 5 between the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars on Thursday, May 29.

Edmonton can punch its ticket to the Stanley Cup Final for a second consecutive year with a win, but I’m expecting Dallas to show up on home ice.

Here are my top NHL picks in the anytime goalscorer market for Game 5 tonight. And be sure to check out our Oilers vs. Stars predictions before the action gets underway.

NHL anytime goalscorer picks for Oilers vs Stars Game 5

  • Red Wings Draisaitl (+125)
  • Red Wings Perry (+310)
  • Red Wings Marchment (+335)

Oilers vs Stars anytime goalscorer props for tonight

Leon Draisaitl (+115 at BET99)

While it’s been another banner postseason for Edmonton Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl, he’s reeling along a mini funk with just two goals and an 11.1 shooting percentage across his past seven contests.

Draisaitl scored five times through his first eight postseason games with a 20.8 SH%, and he’s remained dangerous during the noted seven-game slump with 3.5 expected goals and 11 high-danger scoring chances.

I also value the potential of Edmonton head coach Kris Knoblauch sending Draisaitl out as a winger with Connor McDavid for spells following the season-ending injury to Zach Hyman (upper body) in Game 4.

Corey Perry (+310 at BET99)

Speaking of the potential of skating with Connor McDavid, Corey Perry could be first in line for the opening on the top line and No. 1 power-play unit with Zach Hyman (upper body) out of action.

Perry has already scored six times during the playoffs, and his 22 individual high-danger scoring chances rank third on the Oilers, while his 6.33 iHDCF per 60 minutes trails only Hyman.

Finally, Perry and McDavid have been on the ice for an incredible 8.25 goals per 60 minutes during the postseason, including an equally impressive 4.95 at 5-on-5.

Mason Marchment (+335 at BET99)

Dallas Stars winger Mason Marchment has consecutive 20-goal seasons, but he’s only found the back of the net once through 17 playoff games despite recording a solid 4.08 individual expected goals and 13 individual high-danger scoring chances.

Marchment skates in a middle-six role with consistent linemates Matt Duchene and Tyler Seguin, and the trio has been dangerous at 5-on-5 throughout the postseason with a 60.53 expected goals percentage and 55.4 Corsi For percentage.
