Saturday of Week 3 of the NFL preseason features 10 games and tons of opportunities to find some valuable player props on Underdog Fantasy.
Here are my top three NFL picks for Week 3 of the preseason on Saturday, August 23.
NFL preseason predictions and player props for today
Evan McPherson lower than 1.5 extra points made
Harold Fannin lower than 12.5 receiving yards
Jalen Milroe higher than 42.5 rushing yards
Evan McPherson 1.5 extra points made: Lower (Play at Underdog)
I really like the Under in this game, so this play makes the most sense to go along with that thought. In Week 1, Evan McPherson had three made extra points. However, two of the three came with Joe Burrow and the starters in the game.
In Week 2, he had four extra points, but again, two of them came with all the starters still in the game. The third came with a few starters still in but Jake Browning was at quarterback.
The Cincinnati Bengals have only scored one touchdown in the four quarters of complete backups playing this preseason. This game will be a full game of backups and players fighting to make the roster. I like the odds of the Bengals scoring less than two touchdowns.
Harold Fannin 12.5 receiving yards: Lower (Play at Underdog)
Harold Fannin came off the bench in the first preseason game and did not record a target. He did not play at all in the second preseason game.
Now, since none of the starters have played any preseason minutes in the first two weeks, this may be a sign that Fannin is already lined up to be a Week 1 starter, and they have been sitting him alongside the other starters.
Regardless, he will likely see very little playing time on Saturday with the rest of the starters, who are expected to play 20-25 snaps. He may see a target this time around, but even if he does and makes a catch, 13 yards may be a bit of a stretch.
Jalen Milroe 42.5 rushing yards: HIGHER (Play at Underdog)
The rookie quarterback will not only be starting this game for the Seattle Seahawks, but he will be playing the entire game. Jalen Milroe played the entire second half in the first preseason game and finished with 38 rushing yards on three carries.
In the second preseason game, Milroe only played four drives late in a game in which they had a big lead, and were probably just trying to get the game over with. He finished with five carries for 18 yards.
Now that he gets an entire game to play, he is going to show everything he must try and lock up a spot as the backup to Sam Darnold. That includes showing his wheels, and he will not be afraid to take off when a play breaks down.
Odds are correct at the time of publishing and are subject to change.
