The No. 1 Purdue Boilermakers face off against the No. 15 Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Baha Mar Championship Game on Friday night.
A pair of All-American candidates lead both teams, and my Purdue vs. Texas Tech predictions expect that star power to lead to plenty of points.
Here are my best college basketball picks for this clash in Nassau, Bahamas, on November 21.
Purdue vs Texas Tech prediction
Purdue vs Texas Tech best bet: Over 152.5 (-115)
The Purdue Boilermakers lead the country in adjusted offense per KenPom and have scored at least 80 points in every game this season.
That's particularly impressive since they didn't have Trey Kaufmann-Renn (16.0 points and 13.7 rebounds per game on 62.9% shooting) for the first two games of the season.
With the All-Big Ten forward back in the lineup alongside guards Braden Smith (15.2 points and 9.0 assists per game) and Fletcher Loyer (17.6 ppg, 48.6 3PT%), Purdue can score from every spot on the floor.
That said, I'm not sold on Purdue's ability to defend at the rim or on the perimeter. They beat Memphis 80-71 last night, but the Tigers' poor outside shooters went just 4-19 from 3-point range despite getting open looks.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders have the shooters to take advantage of those looks from the arc. The Red Raiders are 12th in the country in adjusted offense, and they attempt threes at a Top-50 rate while knocking them down at a 37.3% clip.
Their offense is anchored by All-American forward JT Toppin (23.5 ppg, 11.0 rpg, 54.8 FG%), who is surrounded by multiple 3-point shooters, including Christian Anderson (18.8 ppg, 8.8 apg, 38.2 3PT%) and Donovan Atwell (14.0 ppg, 48.8 3PT%).
The Red Raiders have scored at least 80 points in every game this season except one, an 81-77 road loss to Illinois. Given that they attempted just four free throw attempts in that contest, that was a clear outlier.
Like the Boilermakers, Texas Tech has some defensive vulnerabilities that can be attacked. They edged Wake Forest 84-83 last night and were fortunate that the Demon Deacons converted just 59% of their free throws.
Both of these teams prefer a slower tempo, but with how efficient they are on offense, we should still see plenty of points.

Purdue vs Texas Tech same-game parlay
The Red Raiders should be able to score at least 75 points against a Purdue defense that is vulnerable. However, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll win this game.
After all, Purdue's highly efficient offense should put up plenty of points of its own, and the Boilermakers have the No. 1 team in the country for a reason. The Red Raiders have struggled when Toppin comes off the bench, and Purdue's depth should allow them to pull away when he takes a breather.
