The San Antonio Spurs will try to get a series split as they host the Golden State Warriors for the second time in three days in an NBA Cup matchup on Friday night.

Golden State may have gotten the best of the first matchup, but San Antonio is the better team, and I’m taking it to cover at home in my Warriors vs. Spurs predictions.

Let’s dive into this Western Conference rematch in my free NBA picks for November 14.

Warriors vs Spurs prediction

Warriors vs Spurs best bet: Spurs -2.5 (-110)

The Golden State Warriors beat the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night, taking a 125-120 win behind 46 points from Stephen Curry despite triple-doubles from both Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle.

It was only Golden State’s second road win of the year, and San Antonio’s first loss at home.

Those numbers alone suggest it will be hard for the Warriors to go back-to-back against the Spurs tonight. But it’s not just a few early-season games that have me backing San Antonio in this one.

Powered by Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs have been one of the best two-way teams in the NBA this year. They rank sixth in defensive efficiency (108.5) and sixth in offensive efficiency (116.3).

San Antonio has been a top rebounding team, with a rebound rate of 54.5%, and ranks fourth in effective field goal percentage (57.1%). All indications suggest that this team will achieve a lot of wins this year.

The Warriors are never to be underestimated, but they are long past their heyday as a dynasty.

The strategy of giving the ball to Steph Curry and hoping for the best will still win games, but Golden State is no longer an elite team, and the Spurs should expect to win this one at home. I’m taking San Antonio to cover.

Warriors vs Spurs same-game parlay

The Spurs have hit the Over in six straight games, while the Warriors have done so in four of their last five, making the Over a smart play tonight – especially after the first game between these teams went to a total of 245 points.

I’m also taking Wembanyama to hit his PRA total after going for 56 PRA on Wednesday.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Outside of gambling, Ed is an avid curler who competes in mixed doubles on the World Curling Tour and runs a popular curling YouTube channel, Chess on Ice. That experience has come in handy during the Olympics, when he has proven to be a successful curling bettor as well.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
