Prop #1: Derrick White Over 18.5 points

-110 at bet365

Derrick White has definitely stepped into a larger role this season for the Boston Celtics with the absence of Jayson Tatum. The guard is averaging 17.2 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 33% from 3-point land.

The Colorado product has been playing well lately, cashing the Over in points in four of his last five appearances. While he scored just 11 points on Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks, White hit the Over in the four games prior. That even included a 30-point eruption.

The C’s take on the Detroit Pistons this evening, and White has played well against them this season, averaging 21 PPG across two meetings.

Prop #2: Nikola Jokic Under 10.5 assists

-115 at bet365

It’s common knowledge that Nikola Jokic is one of the best passers in the Association, and potentially the best playmaking big ever. The Denver Nuggets superstar is leading the league in dimes, averaging 10.9 per night. He’s a wizard with the rock in his hands.

However, just based on Jokic’s latest play and his total for assists, I’m seeing value in the Under. He’s cashed the Under in dimes in three consecutive outings, and the Nuggets face the Houston Rockets tonight, against whom Jokic only had nine assists earlier this season.

Jokic has also hit the Under in dimes in five of his previous seven games.

Prop #3: Cooper Flagg Over 18.5 points

-115 at bet365

Cooper Flagg is having a very respectable rookie campaign for the struggling Dallas Mavericks. The former first-overall pick is averaging 17.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. He’s off to a fantastic start in December, already averaging 20.6 points across five contests.

Flagg has cashed the Over in four of his last five games, most recently dropping 21 points on the Brooklyn Nets on Friday. The Mavs take on the Utah Jazz this evening, and they’re one of the worst teams in the league, ranking 28th in defensive rating.

The youngster is cooking, and I expect him to keep his hot streak going in Salt Lake City.
