New York Knicks next head coach candidates

Cleveland Cavaliers assistants Johnnie Bryant and Jordan Ott have been rumored to be the finalists for the Phoenix Suns' head coaching vacancy after a wildly successful campaign in Cleveland, and the Suns are the only other NBA franchise looking to fill their head coach position.

The odd man out in that job hunt looks to be Bryant (+240), and he could be the next man up in New York.

Kenny Atkinson (+400), the head coach behind the Cavs' incredible season, is next on the odds board. After him come several current assistant coaches in James Borrego (+950), Sam Cassell (+1100), and Chris Quinn (+1400).

The latter is Erik Spoelstra's right-hand man with the Miami Heat and is another name that's attracted attention regarding the Suns' head coaching search.

Former Knicks legend Patrick Ewing, idle since being dismissed as Georgetown's head coach in 2023, is +950 to make a homecoming.

Former Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone is sure to be a frequent name in the rumor mill as well. Malone, who won a title in 2023, is a Queens native and was an assistant with the Knicks in 2001.
