Heat vs Spurs prediction

Heat vs Spurs best bet: Jaime Jaquez Jr. Over 15.5 points (-115)

Jaime Jaquez Jr. broke onto the scene as a rookie in 2023-24 and put up impressive numbers before taking a step back offensively last season as he played a more defensive role. However, the UCLA product looks ready to be a consistent scorer for this Miami Heat squad in 2025-26.

The 24-year-old is averaging 18.8 points through four games. He’s cashed the Over in points in three consecutive appearances, balling out for 28 on Tuesday in a massive win over the Charlotte Hornets. Jaquez is shooting 68% from the field, and he’s scoring at will inside.

While he averaged just 11 points per night against the San Antonio Spurs last season, as I mentioned, he didn’t have as large an offensive role. Jaquez is rising to the occasion this season, and he has the third-highest usage rate on Miami behind just Bam Adebayo and Norman Powell. Plus, Powell is doubtful to play tonight, which opens up more opportunities for Jaquez.

He will do his thing as the Heat search for their fourth win in a row.

Heat vs Spurs same-game parlay

Alongside Wembanyama, Devin Vassell is a key piece for the Spurs, and he’s arguably their top 3-point shooter. The 25-year-old is draining 43.3% of his triples this season, averaging 3.3 makes on 7.5 attempts per contest.

Vassell has cashed the Over in treys converted in two of his last three appearances. Shooting guards are also averaging 3.11 threes per game against the Heat.

Miami has a tall task ahead of it to beat the 4-0 Spurs, but history is on its side. Erik Spoelstra’s team has won five consecutive games versus San Antonio, including a pair of victories last season.

Although Powell is unlikely to suit up, Miami is a resilient group, and Jaquez, Adebayo, and Andrew Wiggins, among others, are more than capable of stepping up in his absence.
