DraftKings NBA Pick6 fantasy basketball lineup for February 8
Luka Doncic points: MORE
Luka Doncic has been balling out, registering more than 28.5 points in four straight games — going for 30+ in three of them.
Luka just stepped into MSG and led the Purple and Gold to a big win over the Knicks with 32 points. The guard is averaging 29.3 ppg on the road this season and L.A. visits the Celtics tonight, who Doncic averaged 29.2 points against in the NBA Finals in 2023-24.
Stephen Curry points: MORE
Since acquiring Jimmy Butler, the Golden State Warriors look like a different beast, and Steph Curry has benefited from his arrival. The veteran is averaging 29.9 ppg post-All-Star break and has been showing flashes of his old self.
Curry showed out for 40 on Thursday evening in a win over the Brooklyn Nets and has scored more than 26.5 points in four of his last five outings. Although he had only 17 points against the Detroit Pistons earlier this season, I’ll ride Steph’s hot hand.
Cam Thomas points: MORE
Once upon a time, Cam Thomas was just a bench player on the Nets. But now with a revamped roster, Thomas is their main option.
Since returning from injury, the guard has dropped more than 22.5 points in two of his last three games. In 22 appearances in 2024-25, Thomas is averaging 24.4 ppg. He’s a cold-blooded scorer and I don’t see him having any issues finding a rhythm again.
Tyrese Haliburton assists: MORE
Tyrese Haliburton is dropping dimes left and right since the ASB, averaging 12 assists per night in seven outings. The guard has dished out more than 10.5 dimes in four of his last five contests, even finishing with a mind-boggling 15 assists in his most recent game. Needless to say, he’s playing at a high level.
The Indiana Pacers star will face an Atlanta Hawks team tonight which is 25th in the Association in assists allowed.
CJ McCollum threes: LESS
CJ McCollum isn’t shooting the basketball all that well from long range lately, draining just 32% of his attempts since the ASB, averaging 2.4 makes from 3-point land. While CJ has converted more than 2.5 triples in three of his last five, the New Orleans Pelicans are taking on the elite Houston Rockets this evening.
The Rockets are holding opponents to a 35.2% clip from deep and McCollum has averaged only 2.0 treys on 5.3 attempts against them in three appearances in ‘24-25.
Kristaps Porzingis rebounds: LESS
Kristaps Porzingis is averaging his lowest number of rebounds since the 2017-18 season, bringing down 6.8 boards per night. He’s compiled less than 7.5 rebounds in four consecutive outings, grabbing just two rebounds in his last game on February 26.
The big man is set to return from an illness here and the Lakers are a solid rebounding team, ranking Top 10 in the league in boards allowed.
