After last night's series-opening win, the -103 San Francisco Giants look to keep the ball rolling against a Detroit Tigers right-hander making his season debut.

My Tigers vs. Giants predictions and MLB picks for Saturday, Aug. 8, see San Francisco pull off the upset at home.

Who will win Tigers vs Giants today: Giants (-103)

I have no desire to back the Detroit Tigers here, as right-hander Jackson Jobe makes his season debut.

In 2025, the 24-year-old posted a 4.22 ERA and 1.49 WHIP across 10 starts. Sure, the Tigers' bats are on fire at the moment, but I am not backing a right-hander with a poor matchup rating on Batters-Box who also owns poor matchup marks in ISO and strikeout rate.

Meanwhile, San Francisco Giants starter Landen Roupp has been far better at home, sporting a 2.97 xERA and 1.17 WHIP while allowing just 22% hard contact and a 3% barrel rate on the year.

Despite the Giants' sub-100 wRC+, they have a plethora of bats that have been heating up against right-handed pitching.

I will happily back the slight underdog at home this evening.

Take this down to -120.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Rafael Devers has been seeing the ball well against right-handed pitching, posting a .400 OBP, .560 SLG, .960 OPS, and .280 ISO over his last 30 plate appearances.

Tigers vs Giants Over/Under pick: Over 8.5 (+105)

I like offense tonight in San Francisco. I already like the Giants offense to tee off against Jackson Jobe in his season debut, with a lot of Giants bats starting to heat up against righty pitching.

Especially Rafael Devers and Jung Hoo Lee, who have been carrying the Giants offense as of late.

Plus, with the Tigers owning a 150 wRC+, .383 wOBA, and .879 OPS over their last 12 games, I do think both offenses come to play this evening. The weather will likely not be their biggest friend, but I think their momentum will carry the load.

Give me offense in San Francisco tonight. Take down to -110.
