MLB Home Run Predictions Today: Best Playoff HR Prop Bets, Picks, Parlay & Odds for Wednesday, October 8

His animosity toward the Yankees fuels Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and we like him to go deep for a fourth straight game in the ALDS when he steps in against rookie Cam Schlittler.

HR Prop #1: Jorge Polanco

Don't sleep on Jorge Polanco.

The Seattle Mariners are on the brink of the ALCS today as they face Casey Mize and the Detroit Tigers in Game 4 at Comerica Park. Polanco has already done his part in this series, homering twice off the dominant Tarik Skubal in Game 2. The 32-year-old went deep 26 times during the regular season as well, and I’m eyeing him to make some noise vs. Mize.

Polanco is 6-for-16 against the right-hander with two round-trippers. Twenty-one of his homers during the campaign were off righties, and he’s already hot in the ALDS. Mize has issues with the HR at times, allowing 21 in 28 appearances in 2025.

HR Prop #2: Christian Yelich

The Milwaukee Brewers are also just one win away from the next round as they look to sweep the Chicago Cubs today. Christian Yelich has been raking in this series, going 4-for-8. While he’s yet to smack a home run in the postseason, the outfielder was 3-for-4 in Monday’s Game 2.

Yelich, who left the yard 29 times in the regular season while hitting .264, will face a familiar foe in Game 3 in Jameson Taillon. He’s had nothing but success against the big righty, going 13-for-37 with two home runs.

Of Yelich's 29 round-trippers this season, 25 came off righties.

HR Prop #3: Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

How can we not ride the Vladdy train?

The man has been unstoppable in the ALDS. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is 8-for-13 through three games with three home runs. Vladdy went deep once again on Tuesday, despite the Toronto Blue Jays blowing a substantial lead against the New York Yankees.

The slugger has a homer in every game in this series, including a grand slam in Game 2 at the Rogers Centre. He’s ridiculously confident at the moment, and there’s every reason to believe he could go deep again.

Cam Schlittler is on the hill, and while he’s pitched well for the Bronx Bombers, Guerrero is 4-for-5 against him. He’s yet to take Schittler yard, but you simply cannot ignore his hot streak and the track record against the rookie.
