The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) recently reported that online and retail sportsbooks generated a combined $54.5 million in gross revenue, a massive uptick from the $34 million produced in February 2025.
The Eagles winning the NFL title last year cost operators over $6 million in Pennsylvania revenue. This February, they hauled in $24.7 million on the Super Bowl between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.
The 9.2% hold was more than double that of the previous February.

Handle dips
The February profit spike came despite the handle dropping 21.7% to $592.5 million, the lowest amount wagered since August. It helped operators that they spent 37% less in promotional wagering compared to February 2025.
Pennsylvania online sports betting accounted for $568.9 million of the total handle and all but the $513,600 of the revenue that retail sportsbooks produced.
The Keystone State’s $12.9-million monthly cut from taxable revenue of $37.3 million was also greatly improved after bringing in less than $3 million a year ago.

FanDuel continued its dominance over Keystone State bettors with a 12.6% hold on a February-best $191.5-million handle that produced over $24 million in gross revenue, which was only down about $3 million from January. DraftKings won back 8.1% on $179.5 million in wagers.
Fanatics stayed above BetMGM to finish third with a $49.5-million handle, winning $4 million in February. BetMGM produced a 7.9% hold on $40.7 million in wagers, while bet365 also surpassed $3 million on a handle of nearly $35 million.
BetRivers and theScore Bet nearly reached $2 million in gross revenue. Caesars fell just shy of $1 million in February.
iGaming profits soaring
All forms of Pennsylvania gaming produced $547.1 million in gross revenue during February, a 14.6% year-over-year increase. iGaming profits spiked an even higher 15.5% to $239.9 million.
That led to over $111 million in tax revenue for Pennsylvania from online casino slots, table games, and poker.
