Less than a year after Entain first signed on with online casino studio Octoplay, the partnership has grown into one of the operator's fastest-expanding supplier relationships. Octoplay now holds licenses across 17 regulated markets spanning the UK, North America, and several jurisdictions in Europe and Latin America.
Key Takeaways
- Entain helped Octoplay expand from a UK launch into 17 regulated markets across four regions.
- BetMGM gave Octoplay its North American debut, with Alberta scheduled to follow through with Entain.
- Bespoke products, including "Jackpot Blitz" and exclusive branded games, have moved the partnership beyond distribution.
The companies began collaborating for a UK launch before extending into Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Georgia, and Ontario. Brazil, Greece, Italy, and Spain are still to come. In North America, Entain's joint venture, BetMGM, became the first operator to carry Octoplay's game catalog, giving the studio its debut in both Michigan and New Jersey.
Alberta is next on the list. With its provincial license now secured, Octoplay plans to go live there alongside Entain from Day 1, mirroring the earlier North American launches.
Beyond distribution, the two companies have built products together rather than simply licensing existing titles. Their joint effort produced "Jackpot Blitz," a customized jackpot system created specifically for Entain's audience and now running across its global brands.
Octoplay also delivered four bespoke games for Entain in 2025, including a Coral-branded title and an Elvis Presley-branded release that launched exclusively through BetMGM in the U.S. Two more custom projects are currently being developed.

"We identified them as a studio with exceptional potential, and what we've seen since – the rapid multi-market scaling, 'Jackpot Blitz,' four bespoke exclusives, the Elvis launch in the U.S. – has confirmed that judgment. Octoplay has earned its place as a strategic content partner for this group."

Octoplay secures conditional license to Alberta
That Alberta sports betting launch traces back to a separate announcement last month, when Octoplay confirmed it had been awarded conditional licensing by the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission, opening the door for supply operators once the province's regulated iGaming market goes live.
Alberta’s regulated market will open on July 13, with Octoplay now able to partner with other operators also planning to launch in the region, supplying its portfolio of gaming titles.
Alberta represents the second Canadian-regulated market where it will operate, following Ontario, and adds to the list of North American markets, New Jersey and Michigan, where it also holds a license.
"Alberta is one of the most strategic market openings on our 2026 roadmap. Entering it with the performance data we've built in Ontario, New Jersey, and Michigan gives us a strong foundation to be one of the first suppliers to partner with local tier-one operators as soon as the market opens," said Ralitsa Georgieva, CEO at Octoplay.
