Missourians will have odds and markets on numerous sports available when sports betting launches on Dec 1.

Key Takeaways

  • The St. Louis Blues will be the first Missouri pro team to play on the day of the sports betting launch.

  • The Chiefs have a primetime Sunday night game in Week 14 to wager on.

  • MLB futures markets will be live for Missourians on Dec. 1.

The Show-Me State is big on pro sports, and several sportsbooks gained market access or have created partnerships with teams like the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Royals.

Many new sportsbook customers will be looking to bet their favorite teams right off the bat, and while Missouri wasn’t able to get sports betting launched before the start of football season, there’s plenty of action left to get in on in 2025 and beyond.

FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars, bet365, Fanatics Sportsbook, Underdog, Circa Sports, and theScore Bet are the sportsbooks set to offer spreads, totals, and player props on the final game of Week 13 and the start of Week 14 in the NFL.

Plus, there are plenty of futures markets with everything from the Kansas City Chiefs’ odds to win the Super Bowl to Bobby Witt Jr. to be named American League MVP coming to sports betting platforms on Day 1.

Here’s a look at many options available for Missouri sports betting starting next week:

NFL

The NFL is king when it comes to sports betting, and the first game available to Missourians is the Week 13 Monday Night Football game between the Giants and Patriots. New England is a 7.5-point favorite at home, and the total is set at 46.5.

By the time Show-Me State bettors wake up on Monday morning, lines for Week 14 will be available for wagering. The Chiefs have a primetime Sunday night showdown with the Texans after a full day of NFL action, which includes intriguing matchups like Bills-Bengals, Steelers-Ravens, and Bears-Packers.

There are plenty of ways to get in on the Chiefs’ futures markets as well. Kansas City has the third-shortest odds to win the Super Bowl at most major sportsbooks, behind only the Rams and Eagles. DraftKings has the Chiefs with odds of +950 to win it all, but FanDuel is offering +1,000 in the Super Bowl winner market.

BetMGM has Kansas City as a +475 favorite to win the AFC, and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has odds of +2,000 to take home NFL MVP. Mahomes has the highest percentage of money to win the award since that market opened, but he’s behind four other players, including odds-on favorite Matthew Stafford.

NHL

The St. Louis Blues will be the first pro team located in Missouri to play the same day that sports betting launches. The NHL franchise hosts the Ducks on Dec. 1 and plays three more times during that first week of wagering.

The Blues have gotten off to a slow start in 2025-26, sitting seventh in the Central Division, but they’ll still have more than 50 games remaining by the time sports betting is live.

St. Louis is currently +7,000 to win the Stanley Cup and +5,000 to claim the Western Conference at DraftKings.

Basketball

The NBA is just a month into the regular season, leaving basketball fans with the majority of the season to bet on. The Thunder, located in neighboring Oklahoma, are the favorite to repeat as NBA champs with odds of +160 at FanDuel. The Nuggets are listed second at +700, followed by the Cavaliers at +1,000.

Several college basketball teams are competing in the Show-Me State, including the Missouri Tigers, who were a perfect 6-0 on the season heading into Tuesday. The Tigers were listed this week with odds of +10,000 at FanDuel to win the national championship, with shorter odds of +1,600 to take home the SEC title.

MLB

MLB’s offseason is underway, and transactions are happening daily as teams begin preparing for the 2026 season. Many sportsbooks are already offering championship and MVP markets. These odds will continue to shift as free agents are signed and trades are made, but bettors can get some juicy numbers early.

The Royals are listed 18th on DraftKings’ World Series winner with odds of +4,000. The Cardinals are farther back at +10,000. Only four teams have longer odds to win it all.

Kansas City’s odds of +2,000 to win the AL are 10th-shortest, while St. Louis is a +4,500 longshot to claim the NL.

Sports to come

College football’s regular season is wrapping up, but conference championship week, bowl games, and the 12-team playoff await bettors. Missouri football is out of the race for the SEC, but the Tigers – ranked 22nd in the College Football Playoff rankings – will play a bowl game in December or January.

The MLS season is already over for St. Louis City SC, and the Kansas City Current of the NWSL are done until 2026.
