“Entourage” stars Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier reunite to help promote the launch of the Betr 2.0 super app, featuring phased prediction market integration.

Key Takeaways

  • The Betr 2.0 app officially launched Sept. 8.

  • The newest app version will include a phased rollout of a prediction market product.

  • Betr is celebrating the launch with new promos and a stellar lineup of sports and entertainment celebrities.

Betr said the app is the first to launch an integration with prediction market platform Polymarket. Betr partnered with Polymarket in March.

The new product will have a phased beta prediction market rollout to eligible users in select states. The full release is planned for later in the football season.

To celebrate the launch, Betr has lined up a list of celebrities, including Jake Paul, Lonzo Ball, and Gelo Ball. The launch also reunites “Entourage” stars Jeremy Piven and Adrian Grenier.

“It's been a long time since the two of us have shared a screen, and the second we got back together, it felt like no time had passed,” Piven and Grenier said in a joint statement. “There's a chemistry and shorthand that comes from everything we experienced together, and it was great to tap back into that and have some fun with it again.”

“We've both gone on to do a lot since those days, so when Betr gave us the opportunity to reunite in such an unexpected way, it made this one pretty special,” Piven and Grenier added. “We think fans are going to have as much fun seeing us back together as we had making it, and we couldn't think of a better partner than Betr to work with on this - we love their super app and brand and are thrilled to be involved with the company."

Piven previewed the new promotion on social media.

Betr CEO Joey Levy acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding prediction market regulation and said the company's unified app gives it a differentiated position.

“Betr today is a fundamentally different company than the one we launched, and Predictions going live is an important milestone that allows us to introduce Betr 2.0 and the Super App we've been building towards," said Levy. "Prediction markets are a natural and important extension of that strategy. Nobody knows exactly how the regulatory environment will play out, so having several products regulated differently within one unified experience gives us a differentiated position in the market.”
