BetMGM launched a new online casino game in partnership with motor racing team Richard Childress Racing (RCR), marking the latest development in a collaboration between the two organizations that began in 2021.

Key Takeaways

  • BetMGM launched BetMGM Speedway in partnership with Richard Childress Racing.

  • The game is now available on BetMGM Casino in Michigan, with New Jersey and Pennsylvania players also seeing it live on Borgata Online.

  • It comes shortly after the company launched a new athlete anti-harassment policy.

The game, named BetMGM Speedway, launched on the BetMGM Casino site in Michigan and BetMGM Casino and Borgata Online in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. It comes just before the start of the 2026 stock car racing season.

Players can wager on two cars designed to resemble the team’s No. 8 and No. 3 cars, driven by Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon, respectively. The game allows simultaneous wagers on each car and includes auto-play and auto-cashout features.

The chief revenue officer at BetMGM, Matt Prevost, said the game underlines the partnership between the company and RCR.

“BetMGM Speedway is a strong example of the collaborative nature between RCR and BetMGM. BetMGM is at the forefront of the sports betting and online gaming industry, and RCR is proud to help BetMGM capture the thrill of racing leading into one of our sport’s biggest races,” Prevost said.

Additionally, the game has a return-to-player rate of 94%, with maximum payouts of 10,000 times the wager.

BetMGM announces zero-tolerance policy on athlete harassment

In separate news, BetMGM recently confirmed it has implemented a new anti-harassment policy allows for the suspension or closure customer accounts if bettors engage in abusive, threatening, defamatory, or harassing conduct toward athletes, coaches, or officials.

Chief compliance officer, Rhea Loney, said this kind of harassment goes beyond what was acceptable.

“We are unwavering in our commitment to sports integrity - and that commitment extends to safeguarding athletes, coaches, and league personnel. Our legal, regulated environment enables us to identify misconduct, investigate reports, and take action when necessary. Any confirmed instance of harassment will result in decisive measures, including account suspension,” Loney said.

The policy applies to online, social media, and in-person conduct, and BetMGM says it will investigate all reports, whether made to law enforcement, state regulators, its customer service, or through an anonymous hotline. Identifying information gathered during a customer's sign-up will be used during investigations.

The announcement follows increased public discussion about online harassment of athletes linked to betting outcomes. In June, Texas police identified a man overseas who made death threats against Houston Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. and his family after losing a wager. The Astros arranged security for the player and his family following the incident.

Additionally, Boston Red Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito spoke to MLB commissioner Rob Manfred in July regarding the abuse players receive, concerned it might take a player getting assaulted before action is taken.
