Canada continues its dominance with a convincing win over Team USA.

Canada will look to knock out the defending gold-medal winners this morning when they take on Team USA in the quarterfinals of the World Hockey Championship. Canada is a heavy betting favorite, so I'm siding with the puck line for added value while backing Macklin Celebrini to continue his international success.

The Canadians have a massive talent advantage, and my Canada vs. USA predictions expect that to be apparent in a convincing win.

Let's get into my betting picks for today's Canada vs. USA showdown.

Who will win Canada vs USA?

Canada: The Canadians have the deepest and most dynamic roster in the entire tournament, easily.

The talent discrepancy showed up as they won all seven games in the preliminary round, outscoring teams 33-13 in aggregate. The USA sent a young, inexperienced roster with no star power outside of Matthew Tkachuk. They'll be overwhelmed in this matchup.

Canada vs USA prediction

Canada vs USA Best bet: Canada -1.5 (-145 at BET99)

The Canadians were nearly perfect in group play, winning all seven games while posting a +20 goal differential and outscoring opponents by nearly three goals per game.

The USA won four of seven games (+4 goal differential) and weren't able to dominate due to a lack of firepower and high-end finishing. That Latvia and Germany were within two goals scored of the USA is telling.

The Americans may hang around early, but they won't keep up with an offense featuring Macklin Celebrini, Sidney Crosby, Mark Scheifele, and a handful of NHL stars.

Expect Canada to win with room to spare. Playable to -165.

Canada vs USA anytime goal-scorer pick

Pick: Mackin Celebrini (+120 at BET99)

Celebrini is the biggest scoring threat on Canada, and it's not close. He leads the team with five goals through seven games and is logging more minutes per game than any other forward on the roster.

The goal is to get him the puck in prime shooting spots as often as possible, and it shows in the numbers. He has 33 shots on goal while his running mate, Crosby, has more assists (nine) than shots (six).

Team USA wasn't stingy in group play, giving up three goals per game. They lack top-pairing defenders, and that will show against Celebrini and Canada's top line.
